This umbrella (we got the black and white striped) has been very sturdy! We have left it outside exposed to all the elements all year - we live in South Florida so we use our yard all year long. It has held up in storms. (We obv take it down for tropical storms/hurricanes but more so it doesn’t hit something else than the fear of it breaking.) HOWEVER, we are now less than three years into it and the color has faded considerably. And I’d say it’s been faded for a over a year now. But now it’s bad enough that we’re looking to replace it because it looks pretty sad. I even sprayed it with a canvas protectant when we bought it. If you leave it folded then it fades in odd fold-lines. BUT given the cheap price and the strong SoFlo sun, overall I’d buy it again. I purchased two of these umbrellas about 3 years ago, and last month purchased two more to replace the old ones. Even though the material faded over the course of the 3 years, the umbrella held up good through the wind and weather. If I knew the wind would be blowing hard during a storm, I would simply roll them down and tie off. For the price of $50.99 each, I believe they are a good buy. ... show more

This is the second time I have purchased this item from this seller. Very sturdy umbrella. Only reason I am purchasing again is the color has faded after 3 years of the elements. Otherwise nothing wrong with the old one. Very easy to crank up and down.
