Tried this on the same day I received it (last night) and loved it for the support it provided. Because I didn’t receive it until after 7 pm, I only had it on for a few minutes before taking it right back off. When I went to put it on this morning, I noticed that the seam around the top of the knee hole was torn and the foam padding was starting to push through. I have already requested a replacement and am returning this one. Hopefully the replacement will not have the same deficiency. UPDATE: Seller had the replacement brace to me the SAME DAY and it does not have the same problem with the seam. Strained my left knee and my normal compression type sleeve support wasn't cutting it. I ordered this and was happy to get it later that night. I used it the next day at work, 12 hour shift with a lot of walking and going up and down stairs. Although maybe a tad bulky i don't see any way to streamline it without losing features or support. I'm actually wearing it now and overall its pretty decent. I'm walking better instead of compensating and irritating my back. As far as build quality, everything looks well stitched, the hardware is doing its job. The velcro and straps are good thus far. I'm 5'8" and 275ish so i got the xxxl per sizing chart, perfect fit! I can wear this all day at work and don't need to adjust it at all. I do wish it had some silicone type grippy stuff at the inner top of the sleeve, but the straps do a decent enough job to keep it in place. Maybe a little bulky for some, but this brace gives plenty of support and with it comes confidence of movement without straining your knee even more. I just received this brace early this afternoon. I immediately put it on. My knee hurt as I walked back to the house, but by the time I made it up the dirt road my knee was feeling better. I'm not saying it stopped all the pain, just that the whole rest of the day I wore this brace, my pain was honestly diminished some... enough to notice. . A couple of weeks ago I injured my knee and wound up with sharp pain medially. Not having been to a physician yet, I've self-diagnosed this injury to be most likely my medial meniscus. Can't say for sure, even with 30 yrs of patient care in my past, but understanding the body as I do I feel I'm pretty close. . After a lot of looking around and other research, I decided to take a chance on this brace. I'm staying conscious of a possible placebo affect, and tomorrow I will know a lot more about what this brace might do for me as I will be driving for 6-6 1/2 hrs (I do this 5 days a week). Since my injury, each day driving has left me with a very heavy dose of pain and mobility issues with that knee. I'll be back in a few days to update how the brace is doing. The brace holds up very well, it’s a heavier brace because the material is of great thickness. You really get the support you need. It is a little wider so finding pants to go over the wide brace can be a challenge. Where the metal brace is on the sides have a tendency to dig into the skin so I use padded gauze pad to avoid and rubbing. The support is fantastic though ... show more

I've purchased many knee braces. For me this is top of the line, best brace I ever purchased. I have a knee replacement done 4 years ago and still hurts, and by using my other knee for that time, it also is going to need a replacement. When I put this item on my knee replaced joint, immediately pain went away. So that afternoon I put it on my other knee (which was in pain) and by the time I went to bed, pain stopped, I didn't even use a cane to get up the stairs. Like the other Neenca products I've used, the quality is good. Stitching is super solid and the velcro is strong. However, the big mechanical hinges don't add any support laterally as compared to something more simple like the Neenca AC-39. What the hinge does add is a bunch of extra bulk and weight. I'd say also that the x-straps are improperly sized in length. They're too long to be used to cinch it down. I'm confident I sized the item correctly but the straps, like the hinges, just provide extra weight and fancy complexity without much benefit. ... show more
