The best part of this umbrella is that the lights are not super bright! I drive for a living, and the sun is seemingly constantly in my face. When I am relaxing on my patio at night, the last thing I want is super bright, tiny lights darting into my eyeballs. This umbrella allows me to relax and chill, without the need to be like Corey Hart. It’s hefty enough to be of good quality without being unwieldy. I like the vented top because in the Midwest, we get some wind coming this way. Bonuses: the sturdiness of the vibrant orange fabric, the ribs of the umbrella, the ease of cranking. I bought a stand separately. Please heed my advice and do two things; ensure that you are buying a stand heavy enough to hold the umbrella steady and to avoid it falling over, and secondly, get a cover for it to preserve the color and protect it from the elements.

I love these umbrellas - I have at least 4 of them. The product is very well made, and as long as you have sun, the solar unit recharges. Customer service is very helpful if you have questions. I frequently repack these in their boxes to take on vacation. I recommend this seller and the product.

I've had mine deployed on my deck since June 2021. This thing is a beast... still vibrantly blue. No broken stitches anywhere. All hardware and moving parts are still pretty good. Nothing is broken except the mount for the little solar array. Easy fix with epoxy. This umbrella is lasting extremely well ! If this ever wears out... LOL ... I'll buy another one !!!

This is my second of the same very pretty cerulean blue umbrella. The last one got a hole in it during storage, so we replaced with a new one of the same. But this one broke after closing only 3 times prior to rain. I had no problems with the first I had of this, so I'm disappointed this one was so chintzy. Color & the lights worked well, but I'm not sure if the white rope inside the top center was defective from the get-go or if this was used? It never seemed to be as easy to crank open/close. Sometimes it only made a noise but nothing moved up/down. We could no longer close it. A week later we just threw it out since it is the end of the Ohio summer season. Can't deal with this, so I might buy a different brand next time.

I already had a patio umbrella that was heavier and stronger than this one, but this umbrella's solar lights and the color choice were too tempting. The stronger, non-lit umbrella was stored as a backup. When I first set it up, it was very heavy and tall, and I could barely lift it up to put it through the hole in the patio table and place it in its stand. A friend helped me to tilt the upper part of it because I wasn't strong enough to do that (probably because I'm an older lady with diminishing strength). Its crank was easy enough for me to open and close the umbrella, and the lights were beautiful at night... the first few times I used it. Unfortunately, I left the umbrella open when shopping one day, and while the winds had been non-existent that day and a couple of days prior, they suddenly picked up while I was gone for a few hours. I came home to the umbrella on the ground, along with the log-style table it had been inserted into, which was so heavy that I had to pay a friend to assemble and place for me. After I struggled to remove the umbrella from the sideways table, I saw that the plastic ring that kept both sections of the pole together in a straight line had been shattered. I only found one big piece of it. I wish that the ring hadn't been such a thin piece of plastic. The umbrella may have survived, and I may have been able to replace it if it had only cracked or split into two pieces. As-is, the lights do work, but I don't think I can keep it upright. And even if I could return it, I wouldn't. It's just too heavy. (photos posted soon)
