We purchased this pool cover to replace the original pool cover that came with the pool. Love the material it is made of. I know some people don't like the holes in the pool cover that lets the water drain into the pool but it is a life saver for when you have puddles build up on the cover from rain. Working on getting the pool pillows set in the right spots to let it do that. If it is an issue with the rain water draining into the pool, you could either tape over them or if it is an issue of debris getting into the pool you could tape over them or tape a screen over them. Personally, I like them, especially the group of them in the middle which really keeps the rain water from gathering in the area and allows me to position my pool pillows into other areas. So far, I haven't noticed any debris in the bottom of the pool when repositioning the pillows that wasn't already there when I started this process and wasn't able to get it out before closing the pool. The one suggestion I would make is that I have heavy duty velcro attached to each pole and to the bottom of the pool cover to keep in place and it works wonderfully (even with high winds) so it would be nice if that was included with the product as I have seen many reviews of people not happy with pool covers coming off or sinking to the bottom of the pool because they couldn't get them to stay in place with just the tie string on the pool cover. ... show more

The cover has 1/2 inch holes in it, so the rain water gets in the pool . The goal of buying the cover was to keep out rain and leaves , so not to use to much chemicals. 😑

When I bought this pool cover it was suggested in one of the customer reviews to get one size bigger, so I did and so far, so good. We do clamp the cover down because we had a couple of really windy days, and it blew off, so it was just easier to get clamps, they are pretty cheap at Walmart. It is pretty easy to take off and on if you have two people to do it, it can be a little tricky with just one person. Would definitely but again. ... show more
