Replacing one that was bought exactly same time last year that had already developed a shredded rib on the umbrella. Otherwise the color is beautiful and has maintained itself until a strong wind gust last week destroyed the rib area.

I LOVE THESE! This company got it right for the price. I have bought umbrellas in the past and paid large amounts for them thinking because they were expensive the quality would be better. Not the case at all. Here, I have bought 4 of these and love them. I bought 2 a few years ago and they held up great so I added 2 more last year. They’re sturdy and easy to operate. With the right heavy base, which I found the perfect ones here in amazon also, they cant be beat for the price. The metal posts are strong and heavy duty. Only negative thing, I wish the color lasted longer. However, considering southern heat, 10 hours of HOT, HUMID, direct sunlight every day of the year, price and quality, I can’t complain about the fading much. I should have read more carefully, this is not wood grain. It’s wood grain colored metal. It appears to be no different than the other ones just $20 more expensive. I’m still giving it four stars because basically the umbrellas are OK for the price, but be careful. This is not a wood umbrella structure. It’s painted metal. Update: broke after less than 60 days- it definitely is not worth 60$ and really not there quality of other best choice umbrellas ( which are just ok, but this had thin arms that broke easily). I was promised a refund by Amazon which never came. When I contacted Amazon they said that they had no authority to grant me the refund. They had previously promised and that I had to take it up with the third-party seller. This is a huge hassle and a really crappy product and process not happy with Amazon or best choice and not being able to rely on something that Amazon told you over the phone and promised is also not cool! Overall terrible bad service relating to this product. Second update: I was promised a refund and it has never come a month later. I will report to see what they say but because this is not through Amazon and you have to deal directly with best choice. This seems like something you really have to watch very closely if you purchased from them. Third update: refund finally made after follow-up which discovered that the credit card credit had “mistakenly” never been sent by seller. Amazon and sellers need to create a system where customers don’t have to worry if the refund actually was made or not. ... show more
