This umbrella comes as advertised. It seems solidly built and assembly is easy. It is large and you will need some decent room on your patio/deck to make it work. I think some of the problems noted in negative comments have been fixed by adding support "wings" to the base tube and stronger parachute cord for the cable. I was amused by the negative comments that mentioned that the umbrella wasn't stable. This type of offset system MUST include weights on the legs or it will not stand up. The weights are clearly not included with the umbrella and there is a combo deal to by both together. Even with this additional cost the price of the total set up is VERY reasonable when you do some comparison shopping. Finally, if you can't take care of your purchase by lowering it when not in use, taking it in for the winter or buying a cover, or not raising it during hurricane winds, you probably deserve whatever happens to it. Take reasonable care of it and you'll be happy.

This pool umbrella looks really nice and was super easy to install 🌞👍. The only issue is that it has a tendency to tip over, especially with even a little bit of wind. I definitely recommend buying some weights for the base—and honestly, you’ll need extremely heavy ones because of how offset the design is. With proper support it works great, but without it, it’s just not stable enough. Overall, I’m giving it 4 stars because it does look great and provides shade, but it definitely needs reinforcement.

I LOVE the color, I LOVE that it's 10 ft and enough shade to cover almost my entire deck. I LOVE that i don't have to have it in the middle of my table. I consider my reviews to be very honest and not just complaints, but this umbrella was $79... i was expecting it to be a little better quality than the $12 umbrealla at Big Lots. It was NOT better quality. I'm not exagerating when i say, this thing is good for nothing unless you want a kite. Seriously. Only buy this umbrella if you have ZERO wind where you live. like not even a tiny breeze! seriously!! this Umbrella is designed for indoors. I even looked to see if i could find out who the product testers were so i could ask them if they were paid off to clear this product!! b/c i'm not sure how ANYONE gives this more than a 1 star. If i was able to give this ZERO stars, i would! if you look at this product as a whole in the reviews, it gets 4 stars... i should have read more of the reviews instead of trusting the general opinion. To be honest, i gave this a 1 star for assembly. but i did that to pull it's ratings down b/c i feel sorry for anyone who buys this and was excited i was to get it to find out that it's complete trash! but honestly, it was not hard to assemble. If you read, you know that the weights are not included, that was no issue for me b/c i already had weights and we were planning of bloting it down anyway... This umbrella is a great idea, but to make it GOOD, you'd have to use HIGH QUALITY

This is my first offset umbrella. It's something that I wanted to get for a long time because my center pole umbrella only shaded half of the table. But now I'm not so sure it was a good idea. A center tube umbrella will tolerate a little bit of crosswind before things get dangerous. Not so with an offset umbrella. The large umbrella is very susceptible to the wind and if the wind is not directly coming from the tube side then the umbrella will twist the frame to try to follow the wind. It quickly turns up sideways like a big sail. This is a little scary because the plastic connectors that hold the frame to the tube seem like they could bend or break easily. The umbrella seems very heavy for the tubing frame. I didn't trust the base alone to do the job so I added a support bracket to my deck rail to keep it from falling over. Hopefully that helps some. It's easy enough to crank the umbrella open if you want it on an angle but if you want to hang it directly over the table you have to slide the side bracket up the tube. This is a bit of a challenge because of the weight of the umbrella and it tends to jam up. All of these umbrellas appear to be made the same so I don't want to fault this one over the others. It looks great and it was good price compared to others I looked at. I'm just not sure how well an offset umbrella is going to work out for me as I live in a windy area. Time will tell I guess. Update: I am not happy at all with this offset umbrella. If there is a gust of wind it will flip sideways to follow the breeze, swinging wildly and almost hitting people at the table. I have it bolted to the deck and the upper part is strapped to the deck rail but that still won't stop it from swinging. We have only been able to use it twice all summer because it is too dangerous. I noticed that one of my neighbors has taken theirs down and another house down the street put one out to the curb for scrap pickup. That's probably what I'll be doing as well. What a waste. Next year the old fashioned center pole umbrella will be back in play. Glad I saved it.
