  • POTENT vibrato effects, if that's what you're looking for
Color: G006 Vibrato
So let me say right up front that this vibrato pedal is not for everyone. If you want a subdued, subtle effect, you won't find it here. This is not for the faint of heart. However, if you like to explore the reaches of outer space, you'll probably love how insane this thing sounds. DEEP modulation, huge variation, and it's capable of pushing out some truly wild sounds. As an experimental musician, this is right up my alley. I like to push the extremes, and this is way more extreme than the other vibrato pedals I have. Some won't like that, but again, if that's your thing, you'll be happy with this. As with the others in Caline's G series, this is well made, with eye-catching animal-themed art, a deep gloss finish, high quality knobs, a super smooth footswitch, and a second LED at the power jack (the jack being the only weak spot). It's slightly larger than other mini pedals, but not as big as a full-sized pedal. Really fun to play around with this thing. If you want a more traditional vibrato this may not be for you, but for someone like me who enjoys pushing the envelope of sound, it's a five-star pedal. ... show more

  • Just not good sounding
Color: G006 Vibrato
I sent it back for a refund within an hour of delivery. When engaged, it changes the fundamental tone of the guitar and not in a good way. It sounds thinner and tinnier. Since there’s no tone control, you can’t adjust this. When running any distortion into it, there is a high frequency swishing sound like nothing I get from other vibrato pedals. I’ve tried maybe 3 or 4 other vibrato pedals, for reference, and none of them make the unpleasant noises this one does, no matter how you adjust it. You can’t seem to get just a clean, transparent vibrato tone out of it. On the plus side, it seems solidly built and the foot switch felt great. The pointers on the knobs are a bit hard to see. If you happen to like how it sounds, great, but it was not for me. ... show more

  • Not My Favorite Effect BUT...
Color: G006 Vibrato
First of all, this thing is built very well. It has a very good weight and the metal body feels solid. Out of curiosity I took it apart and took a look inside. Everything was sitting nice and tight in this sturdy but relatively slim box. Takes 5 stars for build quality. I plugged this in front of my ENGL E530 preamp (See the video) along with my ISP decimator rack noise suppression unit and a little bit of compression. With only 3 knobs it offers a ton of variety and I found a lot of these tones to be great and very useful. This was my first vibrato pedal so please take my feedback with a grain of thought but this was not my favorite effect. I rather save space for delay, reverb, chorus, or tremolo. I sincerely hope that you would find my review helpful. ... show more

  • Good pedal for the price
Color: G006 Vibrato
I got a bunch of these Caline pedals because the price seemed great. They all have the same build with the only difference being the number of knobs. The case is made of metal and feels sturdy enough for the road. They are all of the compact pedal size. There is no included power supply so you will also need that (this is seems to be standard practice of course). They include both a rubber and hook (for hook and loop tape) backing giving you options on how to keep them from wandering around on your pedal board/ the ground. Two of the nine pedals I received had physical issues: 1. the footswitch was loose and I couldn't get it to tighten. 2. one of knobs wouldn't stay on the pot But Amazon was great, as always, about providing replacements. The Timberwolf is a very deep vibrato effect. You have three controls to choose from: Rate: how fast or slow the vibrato is Depth: the intensity of the effect Mix: allows you to control how much dry and wet signal you have. Overall this is a well built pedal if you're looking to get lots of vibrato. The Chamecho has three controls Time: how much time for the delay effect Repeat: how many repeats you get Mix: how much clean signal is mixed into the effect The overall quality of the effect is awesome for the price. It is a little to clean and digital sounding for my taste but this is a fun pedal to play around with. Parrot Delay has the same controls as the Chamecho delay I like the sound of this pedal a lot more compared to the Chamecho. It has a warmth that makes it feel much more natural. Orca has three controls Rate: how quickly the effect cycles Depth: how intense the effect is Mix: how much clean signal can be heard The Orca definitely has the classic 80s chorus sound down. It can't do much beyond that but if that's your goal this pedal will work well for you. Green Mamba has three controls Volume: it controls the volume! Tone: how trebly the sound is Drive: how overdriven the sound is Green Mamba is a pretty classic overdriven tone you can find in Texas Blues or can be tweaked for some solid metal shredding Barn Owl has three controls Decay: how long it takes the reverb to end Mix: how much clean tone is in the sound Tone: makes the sound "dark" or "bright" The Barn Owl is a surprisingly massive reverb pedal given the price and the size of it. You can get some wonderful ambient tones out of it or just make your sound a little bit bigger and everywhere in between. Nasty Bear Fuzz has three controls Volume Sustain Tone They do exactly what they say. The Nasty Bear is a pretty classic fuzz pedal. It's a great way to get a wall of fuzzy tones very quickly and for very little money. I am overall very impressed with the quality of these pedals given the fair price of all of them. They might not be as versatile as much more expensive pedals but they do what they do very well and I would definitely recommend them. ... show more

  • Really nice vibrato effect - good pedal
Color: G006 Vibrato
I picked up several of the Caline G-series mini-pedals pedals to test, the look and feel of all the G-series pedals is good, solid, components do not feel cheap. Performance varies. Timberwolf Vibrato is going to pair well with some other effects. On it’s own it produces a nice clean vibrato with a good range on the RATE and DEPTH knobs. MIX knob lets you control how wet you want this fwoopy sound. Watch the video to hear the pedal’s reverb effect over some clean basic chords. Two thumbs up on the Timberwolf Vibrato pedal. This pedal will go in regular rotation. ... show more

  • Fun vibrato pedal for my bass
Color: G006 Vibrato
This is a fantastic vibrato pedal! I use it on bass. It is small, easy to setup, simple to adjust, and sounds great! What else can you want? Well, a power supply would be nice, but lets be honest, most pedals dont come with them anymore, so its not that big of a deal. Overall, Im thrilled.

  • Rate Knob Is Sensitive And The Vibrato Gets Overbearing Very Quickly
Color: G006 Vibrato
This is the 3rd new pedal from the Caline G-Series that I have tested and reviewed, and so far they are not that impressive. I have never had a dedicated vibrato pedal, just vibrato from the modelling amp. So I thought it would be cool to see what can be done with vibrato when you have a few knobs to control and sculpt it. What I have noticed is that the "Rate" knob is very sensitive and changes the vibrato speed dramatically very quickly. The increase is not gradual. Just turning the "Rate" knob even a little bit past the 9 o'clock mark makes the vibrato go too fast and it just sounds very wonky. I can't see those sounds being useful in a rock, blues, or even jazz context, as it becomes more like space music or video game sounds. When the Rate knob is under the 9 O'clock mark, the vibrato is more subtle, even with the Mix and Depth knobs turned all the way up. In other words, it is hard to find a happy medium of vibrato sounds here. It is either too out there or too subtle to be all that interesting. I will continue to experiment with this pedal and will report back if there are any changes, good or bad. ... show more

  • Another great Caline pedal
Color: G006 Vibrato
Caline has always made great pedals and this new lineup of mini's is no exception. Requires a power supply as all mini pedals do.
