As far as charging the car goes, it works very well with my 2020 Chevy Bolt. I purchased this charger about a year ago. I had the charger mounted to the wall in my garage, but after about 6 months the mounting holes have peeled off the back of the charger. They were attached to a plastic sheet that was glued to the back of the charger. There doesn't appear to be any exposed electronics and it still works fine to charge the car.     • Great Product at the Beginning, but No Customer Care To Contact
The cord worked great for almost 2 years, but when it stopped working, I thought that there would be a customer service number, email or otherwise to assist me with fixing that one or even possibly a discounted new one, but there does not seem to be a way to do so.

    • 32 amps charges only at 14.2 amps
I spent $700 running 6 gauge wire from the service to the garage. Once that was done I plugged in and found that my Prius and Mitsubishi plug in SUV both charge at a maximum rate of 14.4 amps. So is this 32 amps at 110 volts? It does charge faster than the 110 volt charger that comes with the car, but make no mistake the 32 amps advertised is not a realistic charge rate. ... show more

Unit arrived in great packaging condition. Start at 5 stars. Upon removing the cord from the box, did my measurements of each section: 4' 7" from plug to box. 11" overall box length 18' 11" from box to handle 8" of handle length (to the tip) Overall length: 25' 1" which is short of the 26' in the description. Not only that, the usable length, if you mount the box to the wall using the keyhook, is objectively less than 19 feet (depending on how much slack you need, probably closer to 15 to 16 feet, unless you mount the box on the ground... and your car port is very, very low) -2 stars Other than the length, the EVSE came with version 4+ of whatever software it uses (my other box, that uses the same graphic to start, similar control box, and same IP rating of 66 is on version 2+) and appears to do its job very well without excessive heat buildup at the plug or cord when delivering 32 amps. (8-10 C degree rise in the cord, 15 degrees C at the plug) + 1 star Plug is different than the description pictures (see attached) and is stamped UL listed. Control box shows IP66 rating (see attached). Did NOT test running over the plug with the car, but claims to be able to handle that situation in the manual. ... show more

    • plug to control box cable sucks !!!
i have this unit to speed charge my Jeep 4Xe, it does that very well, thats why the 4 stars. HOWEVER, the plug to the control box cable is only a few inches long. so from where you plug it in for power, if its outdoors like mine, it has to lay in the mud next to the house, while the rest of the cable past the box has space to get to the car huge design flaw, as even with an extension cable, i am unable to properly mount the display box. for a outdoor ready unit, its a mess ! if they dont address this, dont buy this. if you have an outlet in your garage exactly where you want the plug and box to be mounted, then get it for your setup. ... show more

    • Stopped working after two years
Just after the 2 year warranty ran out it stopped working. Now when I plug it in the lights weakly flash green but the screen doesn't show any info and it doesn't charge. I also noticed they changed the warranty to 1 year so they must have had a lot of problems and made the warranty shorter. UPDATE: I contacted them to see if they would help. They offered a 20% discount on a new one. I am going to buy a different brand with a better warranty for the same price. ... show more
