To start off, I'm quite familiar with hearing aids. My wife's family had their own hearing aid business for nearly 40 years. Add to that, I spent 12 year in the US Navy working on jet aircraft and a good portion of the time with the engines were turning on an aircraft carrier flight deck. Needless to say, it took a toll on my hearing. I'm 71 years old and I've been wearing hearing aids for nearly six years now. I've just purchased my third pair which are these Banglijian J708. My first two pair were different brands and were Bluetooth, paired to my android smartphone. My first pair of aids lasted four and a half years, my second pair only a year and a half. The unfortunate reality of hearing aids is the fact that they have a relatively short life span out in the real world. Even the most expensive brands. That's why try to choose hearing aids with desirable features without a hefty price tag. I found out after my first two pair that I really didn't need Bluetooth. Yes, those kind allow you to customize the aids to match your particular hearing loss by means of a self-administered hearing test, but I found that the results weren't really dramatic or noticeable. Also, with the aids actively pair to your phone, you're battery life shortens dramatically. So, I opted out of Bluetooth aids this time. What's important to me is sound clarity and active noise cancelling and reduction of annoying background sound. With some aids you can hear the TV all right, but you also get to hear the ceiling fan, refrigerator, air purifier motors amplified. So, basically, I've found the best performing hearing aids have at least 16 channel processing and the more program modes, the better. Also, my preference are the BTE's (behind-the-ear) hollow tube receiver (versus RIC receiver-in-canal - where the speaker located inside the earpiece that fits in your ear canal). Banglijian enjoys a good reputation on Amazon and their pricing is more than competitive. These model J708's fit all the things I was looking for. They're described as "exceptional sound clarity" and I can attest to the accuracy of that description. These aids sound better than my first two sets combined. You hear this statement a lot in hearing aid reviews "they sound as good or better that the expensive aids from an audiologist's office". I believe that's a true assessment. I'm totally satisfied with the physical design and quality and the sound quality. My other two sets required that I have the volume up almost all the way - but, this pair has five volume levels and I've found that I can hear naturally at level 2 or 3 - depending upon the environment. Adjusting the volume is a simple process via a plus/minus rocker switch. The same switch also adjusts the program environment by holding the switch down for three seconds and listening for 1, 2, 3, or 4 beeps which determines the program setting normal, noisy, church or hall, telephone). Holding the switch down for five seconds and you'll hear a play-down tune and the aids power down. Turn them back on again by holding the switch down for five seconds. Charging is a snap. The aids fit into the case and snap into place via a magnet. A blue LED lights up when their inserted correctly. If you try putting the aids in "backwards" you get an opposing magnet effect which pushed the aid away from the charging connection. Hope this helps. As a long-time (un-paid) Amazon shopper and experienced hearing aid user I highly recommend these aids -- or any Banglijian brand aid (no they're not paying me or incentivizing me). Within the first week of receiving these aids I received two emails from Banglijian thanking me and letting me know they're available for any questions or help. Good company! *** U P D A T E *** After Six Months Real World Use ======================================== After 6 months of daily usage I'm still very happy with this model 708 hearing aid. Despite forgetting to put them in the charger at times, I've yet to run the battery down to zero. That's a big plus. My previous hearing aids seemed to die at the most inoppertune moments. The reason for posting this most recent update is to let everyone know that Banglijian customer service is top notch. I had a problem with my right hearing aid this past weekend (adjusting the volume) and finally contacted Banglijian via their provided email address. The response was within 24 hours, apologizing for my problems and they were sending a replacement immediately. They showed up at my door this afternoon -- just three days after contacting them. I can hear again... all is well. If you're on the fence about choosing a hearing aid, let me say you can't go wrong choosing Banglijian! ... show more

These are HORRIBLE for daily use/as a OTC hearing aid! They are $200 amplifiers that distort speech. I have another previous pair from this brand in a different style and loved them. However, these ones are TRASH!!

Review by Merrill Spiro A loss in hearing can sneak up on you by slow degrees: the caller on the phone sounds as if she is whispering, the remarks of your husband sound blurry, and one day the doorbell rings and you don’t even hear it. The next day a friend stops by to see you and says you weren’t home (when you were)! My diminished hearing led me to investigate the many hearing aids on the market. I already knew I had no interest in spending $6000 to $8000 on models with their ability to adjust all sorts of things on my cell phone. I didn’t need fancy adjustments, and didn’t want to be fiddling with my phone. I simply needed amplification and clarity. The Banglijian company offered, over the years, many reasonable models and styles of hearing aids. I have tried and used several of them successfully. I have finally found a set of behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids from Banglijian that seem ideal to me. In model 708, the hearing sensor is small enough to go far into the ear canal, making every sound sharp and clear. It comes with a choice of ear buds that will fit your ear canals exactly. Once you are wearing them, you will find them light and comfortable. They also have a memory ability to keep the settings you choose over time. This model has the incredible capability of staying charged for as long as 24 to 45 hours. Even longer. The compact, attractive carry-box, which provides magnetic charging, is like a power box for your phone. When fully charged for five hours, it contains enough power for extended times of use. You can take it on a trip and be safely assured it will work for many days without charging. This model also has automatic on/off settings, and has special modes for hearing environments --in normal indoor situations, in noisy indoor situations, in outdoor peaceful situations, and in times you are speaking on the phone. I especially like the easy volume controls, perfect for watching TV or listening to music. Yesterday, walking outdoors with my husband while wearing these hearing aids, I heard a chorus of birds singing in sparkling harmony. If only we could reverse time and prevent hearing loss! These hearing aids from Banglijian are really great. I tried several other brands of hearing aids and Banglijian is so far the company that provided me with the best hearing aids. Their support is outstanding and they always reply to questions I have timely. This model 708 has a small tube that allows setting up comfortably hearing sensor into the ear canal. They come with several kind and sizes of hear domes which allows choosing the dome that will fit best in your hear. I barely notice them when I wear them. The sound is fantastic and really correct my lack of hearing. There are 4 different modes like normal, noise reduction, outdoor and phone mode which is really great to reduce the whistle when your phone is close to your ear. I am very pleased about the performance and comfort these hearing aids provide. You can turn on or off the hearing aid yourself or simply place them in the charging box which has its own battery that can support several charges which is very convenient when you travel and don't have access to power. The AC adapter and cable are provided. The instructions for use are really well made and easy to understand. If you want great hearing aid at an affordable cost then go for this one! ... show more

For the low price, an excellent hearing aid. I have had much more expensive hearing aids in the past 10 years. This one is the best I've had. I especially like the noise reduction feature. How in the world do I get PRODUCT SUPPORT?? My LEFT aid will not Charge, Come on, Work at all. Bought this in May of 2025 and now in August only the RIGHT aid works/charges.
