I had only three criteria when I was looking for my workout bench. A price that would fit into my budget, the stability to securely hold 220+ pounds of barbell weight (plus my body weight of 190 pounds), and the ability to fold up due to my relatively small in-home gym space. This product met and exceeded all my criteria and expectations! I believe it says it can hold up to 330 pounds. I have a basic 220-pound weight set this barbell spotter rack and bench are more than sturdy and adequate for this amount of weight, and then some. It is an extremely easy one-person assembly. I got it finished 45 minutes plus, (less than the stated 60-minute assembly time.) I used the provided tools to assemble the barbell rack and weight bench but then pulled out my tools for the final tightening. That would not have been required but my last thorough tightening was more for my peace of mind. All the pieces fit together with ease, which is not always the case with metal-on-metal assemblies. All the hardware and pieces were in great shape. The instructions were easy to follow too. If I have one negative to insert here the Hardware listing was a tad confusing (to me at least.) A few bolts and nuts were duplicated in #1 to #14 hardware listing. But once I figured that out I hade zero issues with the actual assembly. Since setting up my Workout Station a month plus ago, it continues to be one of the smartest purchases I have made. The price was exactly right, the quality and sturdiness of the unit is sound, and the ability to fold up the bench makes it a great space-saver in my new home gym! ... show more

Some parts didn't fit perfectly but can be wedged into place with simple tools. Anyway it was easy to assemble and folds up easy and is lightweight.

This weight bench is very adequate for entry level weight lifting. Assembly was not difficult and took me around 1 hour or so. I assembled the bench both from the instruction booklet (viewing the diagrams) and using common sense and experience. The two tools provided were also adequate. The instructions call for crescent wrenches, a hammer and two screw drivers. 1 flat tip and 1 phillips. Not necessary for me to assemble mine. Although the bench describes multiple height adjustments I would recommend just finding your specific needs and stick to that. This bench is stable enough for bench press and inclined sit-ups but in my opinion frequent adjustments will only shorten the life of the bench. I feel that making changes would make this unit wobbly and less stable. This is after all an entry level work out press. Buy a more expensive unit if you want to make frequent adjustments. I'm happy with mine as I'm only using a 110 lb. barbell set and am looking to strengthen and tone NOT enter competitions. The bench does fold up to conserve space when not in use however the quick release pin hole is very large (oblong) so that too is lacking in security when the bench is folded upward. I myself wouldn't trust it completely. Use caution around children and pets. I'd suggest a bungee cord to wrap around the bench instead of depending on the quick release pin. My bench arrived in a cardboard box roughly the size of a bottom dresser drawer. Everything was well packed and nothing was damaged or missing. ... show more

When I picked up the entire box i was surprised at how light it was. That right there should have been a red flag this would be an issue. Upon opening the outer box I am presented with a giant made in china sign along with some strong chemical smells. This box had clearly been sitting around for quite a while based on the box condition. Opening: Once I opened the main box I found everything wrapped in plastic sheets but oddly the bench had plastic around it and parts screwed onto it, meaning I had to take it apart just to remove the plastic annoying but not the end of the world. Assembly: As i went about assembly I found parts that I literally had to hit with a hammer to get straight to even make them fit. I found the instruction bookly in horrible condition and badly damaged. It was unclear what bolts where what and required trial and error. Later in the build I found that one screw wasn't even machined correctly and therefore unusable as there was nothing for the hex tool to grip. At other points parts easily were damaged or scratched, the paint flaked off easily. Very tight fittings in other areas or questionably loose. Finally after putting it all together I found the seat had ripped itself open which upon examination showed the inside was cheap materials that would not last long at all. Instantly going to return this, I STRONGLY recommend buying something actually made of steel and this is one of those "you get what you pay for" moments. I also find it unsafe based on how things went together, this is clear Chinese crap. Don't buy, don't recommend. I NEVER write reviews but this was atrocious. ... show more

Easy to assemble and a nice, low price; however, it is missing a plastic bushing for the sliding stanchion on one side...any help possible with this?

This bench was exactly what I was looking for in a bench. Very stable, came with all the necessary hardware/tools to put together. I used my electric ratchet and screwdriver to put together. The instructions are well written although you probably will only have to glance at them. It is obvious how it goes together but, if you need the instructions they are good and illustrations are accurate. It says 300lb. weight limit but, I am sure it will hold more but, at 300lbs. it is enough for my workouts. ... show more
