Was looking for an inexpensive weight bench for my son to start lifting. Checked local stores an CL and couldn’t find anything decent under $100. Searched Amazon and found this one. The price was right with free prime shipping so, I took a chance. It arrived in one undamaged heavy duty reinforced box. I decided to let my 13 year old put it together. With a little guidance it went together pretty smoothly. It even came with the tools required to assemble. The instructions weren’t bad but, not perfect. There were no missing parts and he had the whole thing assembled in under a half hour. The finished product is sturdy and looks really nice. The steel tubing is pretty heavy gauge and the paint is good quality. The bench is well padded and the cover seems like it will be durable. It folds up nicely and it should last a while. The only negative comment he had was that the supports seem to be a bit close together. A little narrower than the width of his shoulders so, right about where he feels his hands should be. Should be fine as he grows though. Overall, a good quality first bench at a good price.

Wanted a bench for my grandson who is 14. Couldn't put a bunch of money into it but I found this one. Reviews were good and I thought the weight specifications surely were reasonable for his age and the size and weight of his father who would be helping him. My husband put together and given the normal moans and groans when putting something together, this seemed to be much less. I say he put it together in about an hour. It's really a nice looking bench. I'm sure the padding on the bench could be more but it is certainly adequate for my 14 year old. VERY impressed that it folds up so well for storage. That is one of the things his mom worried about because they had such a full garage already. We were very happy with the product and the fact it would be useful to him for quite a long time since it allows for a higher weight in body and weights than I had thought.

This bench is great for starting out a gym. The assembly was a bit difficult as the instructions were not very clear in regards to what screw/bolt to use where. It took me about 1 hour to put together, but I felt that it could have gone a lot faster if the instructions were more clear. Overall, the bench is great for the price, but some areas could use improvements such as: *The dip station does not feel very sturdy due to the footprint and support on the ground, it should be more wider (yes it will increase the size of the space it occupies, but this could solve the flimsiness it feels during dips). *The fold up position's latch is not aligned properly, it works, but better alignment should be made so it's easier to use the safety bolt. Overall, it's a great starter bench, has lots of features such as sit up, dip, tricep station, and incline, decline, and flat benching. For incline/decline, I recommend using dumbbells.

I brought this product looking to continue my weight lifting journey.. this product is SO bad I had 7 missing screws that wasn’t in my bag.. the width of the bench is incredibly small.. and it’s unstable it shakes everytime you take weight off the bar! All around terrible product save your money to buy a bigger & more durable bench!

I had only three criteria when I was looking for my workout bench. A price that would fit into my budget, the stability to securely hold 220+ pounds of barbell weight (plus my body weight of 190 pounds), and the ability to fold up due to my relatively small in-home gym space. This product met and exceeded all my criteria and expectations! I believe it says it can hold up to 330 pounds. I have a basic 220-pound weight set this barbell spotter rack and bench are more than sturdy and adequate for this amount of weight, and then some. It is an extremely easy one-person assembly. I got it finished 45 minutes plus, (less than the stated 60-minute assembly time.) I used the provided tools to assemble the barbell rack and weight bench but then pulled out my tools for the final tightening. That would not have been required but my last thorough tightening was more for my peace of mind. All the pieces fit together with ease, which is not always the case with metal-on-metal assemblies. All the hardware and pieces were in great shape. The instructions were easy to follow too. If I have one negative to insert here the Hardware listing was a tad confusing (to me at least.) A few bolts and nuts were duplicated in #1 to #14 hardware listing. But once I figured that out I hade zero issues with the actual assembly. Since setting up my Workout Station a month plus ago, it continues to be one of the smartest purchases I have made. The price was exactly right, the quality and sturdiness of the unit is sound, and the ability to fold up the bench makes it a great space-saver in my new home gym!

Took me 2 hours to assemble, mostly because I kept getting flummoxed by the hardware (or lack thereof). I got six pins, three of which were too large to fit anything where the instructions indicated a pin should go. There were enough bolts, but the nuts provided did not secure them to the frame of the bench. They also felt really flimsy. I wound up using my own hardware. If you or your spouse has a garage full of extra nuts and bolts, I suggest using those. Those provided by the Chinese manufacturer are simply not worth a damn. The pins do not secure the rests for the bar well enough to the frame for me to feel comfortable so I’m resorting to duct tape. With duct tape and your own hardware it’s worth the $80 you’re paying for a beginner weight bench.

Very useful that it folds up, only took like 20 min to assemble, I like that it has dip handles and a Velcro strap to hold your feet for abdominal exercises
