When properly installed, this product is exceptional. Installation instructions are not simple. Watch a few videos (search for them on YouTube), and if you are a decent handy person with the proper tools, you’ll have this up in a decent amount of time. It can be done by one person. Two is preferred. I did it alone. On siding, i used 5/4 PVC and shaped to fit the siding. To anchor the PVC, I used 3 inch exterior screws. Mounting the actual awning, I used 5 inch Structural screws. Use an exterior caulking to seal the top, sides and bottom of the PVC and the awning once it is in place The awning provides the protection from rain while trying to enter the house. The price is very decent for the build quality. Once installed it is sturdy.

This entrance awning with gutter is really practical! It is easy to install, made of sturdy material, and provides excellent sun protection. The gutter is a thoughtful design that allows rainwater to drain away without pooling or dripping onto the entrance, keeping the floor dry. It also has a stylish appearance that matches the decor of the home. The customer service was very good, and they patiently answered my questions. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs it.

I’ve had 3 other variations/brands of this style up in the same spot. First, it doesn’t measure 80” - it is 78.5” wide. Doesn’t extend to 40” either. First let me say that I’m real good at construction, installing and being innovative to make just about anything work despite poor quality. You’ll need a lot of luck getting the 4 panels in. It’s weakly held together with tiny screws and cheap plastic inserts that can strip and get pushed out of range. While putting it up, the thing folded on me twice. Instructions were not detailed. But for this price you can’t expect much. My previous one- of a different brand - lasted about 3 years. If you aren’t the “handy type” I wouldn’t recommend tackling installation of this item. Its a two person job for sure.

"You Get What you Pay for".... so if you purchase this, know that you may get what you believe to be acceptable depending on your situation, however the quality... well there is no quality in the product. First, the design that I received is not what was depicted in the product description. The product description had eloquent braces, but I received a train-track truss brace design. If you purchased a single or possibly double panel canopy, then it will be easier to assemble. A 3-panel canopy is a puzzle that needs minimum of 2 people. See attached pictures with comments. - The braces (Brackets are plastic) and my not hold to high Texas Winds - Fasteners "A" do NOT HOLD and totally unreliable. The plastic insert that the screw mounts to kept pulling out of the front and back aluminum bars. - Fasteners "B" were not even mentioned in the instructions, however by default you figure out they are needed when the assembly kept falling apart. - The Plastic Brace I received is compared to the product description. Since my canopy is temporary, I accept the poor quality as it is a means to an end. However I do not recommend the 120" canopy if you plan to use it long term. I will update the review after I see how and if it holds up to our Texas winds.

The assembly instructions were straightforward but the included hardware is not sufficient for mounting in masonry. Had to buy some more sturdy concrete expansion bolts. And all the screw holding the frame to the shade ripped out at minimal flexing, so had to be upgraded. The unique drain trough filled up quickly with debris so pretty useless. But in the end it looks very nice and I’m happy with the final install.
