Picked one of these up to keep on my desk at work. I enjoy reading the quotes throughout the day. The e-ink display is good quality and easy to read. There isn't a backlight for the screen, so you have to have light in the room to see it. The battery lasts about a week in between charging with the time updating every minute and there really seems to be a quote for every minute of the day. It's really well-made, the wooden body and brass accents look very elegant and it gets people's attention when they see it, so it makes a good conversation piece. Overall, I really enjoy it. It's a bit expensive, but it's an attractive desk ornament while also being a great way to tell the time. I think I'll buy some more as gifts for some book lovers that I know. ... show more

I love this clock. There is a different quote for each minute of the day! So there are thousands of quotes to come across as you wander by the clock. There is always a new one it seems, since there are 60 an hour! The screen is like a kindle screen, easy to read and not too bright and jarring. The battery lasts a long time. It’s a luxury device, and the price reflects that. I bought the small one. The case is solidly built and beautiful. It holds a charge about a week, even when a new quote appears each minute. The instructions are easy to understand. So far, we haven’t seen a quote repeat. They are endlessly entertaining for a reader, and one of the few things that aren’t books to choose. The downside is that the screen is not motion activated and backlit, like most of the digital picture frames. The font on the smaller one is small, so unless it’s at arms length you can’t see it. I’d recommend the larger screen model for non-desk or bedside users. The potential is there for this to be optionally voice or motion activated, and for it to be accessible with audio for the visually, or just age, impaired.
