  • EXACTLY what I needed
I have like 5 alarms (in addition to this watch), and was still somehow sleeping through them (?) It is soooo much harder to sleep through this “shock watch” (the sound could be louder, but not really why I bought It). If you’ve ever used a TENS unit, the “shocks” are very similar to that (minus the stickers and wires). I included a photo of the inside of the watch that shocks / vibrates. If you have issues getting up to standard alarms, I highly Recommend. It’s a bit of an investment (but cheaper than losing your job from oversleeping). I also LOVE the app. (I haven’t had to pay for it or subscribe - if you want the community aspect and challenges there may be a fee, but I’m able to access the alarms and wake up features I need). Last 2 photos are one of my alarms. You can set it to make you scan a QR code (you’ll have to print it out and put it somewhere), do jumping jacks, or do a puzzle on the app. I’ve only used the puzzle, but it has a few different types of puzzles it randomizes (they help wake your brain up a little bit). Next 2 options are preventing you from snoozing, or you have it zap you again when you snooze. Light sleep tries to wake you up during a lighter sleep cycle. Escalating alarm helps with battery life and incremental gets louder or increases the zap ⚡️until you wake up. Smart alarm makes sure you didn’t fall back asleep by checking to see if you’re moving; if you don’t move within 5 minutes the alarm goes off again. All are optional (& free / with the cost of the watch). You can also set the amounts of the volume, zap level, and vibration levels from 0-100%. I usually use between 70-80% (with the escalating alarm). The shock watch also has an option for bad habits (like skin picking/smoking). You can set it to shock, beep, or vibrate if you raise your hand up (near your head). That’s also optional, it works okay (not really what I bought It for) but I’d like to see an option to maybe “train” it to alert you in a certain position or a certain amount of time maybe. Overall, I love It; I am Still employed. I love the purple color, and the shock part definitely works. I did want to point out that my wrists are TINY (~6 inches); the smallest notch is slightly tight, but I usually use the 2nd smallest, so may not work as well if you have child-sized wrists like me lol but all in all 10/5 ⭐️ ... show more

  • Fixed my worst sleep problem - missed alarms
I have REM sleep behavior disorder, and POTS, and sleep has always been an issue. Also constantly having incredibly deep sleep often, and super interactive dreams, and sleep terrors. When my alarm (actually my 20 alarms + separate alarm clock + another separate alarm clock across the room that buzzes the heck out of me bed) goes off, but I’m stuck in a dream or deep sleep and don’t hear a single alarm. Oversleep by an hour, late to work. It was not looking good for me. Even with proper medication, maintaining good sleep habits, exercising, eating well, working closely with multiple specialists, I STILL couldn’t wake up. No matter what I did. But I have to say - THIS WATCH FIXED ME. It sucks is that the only way to get unstuck from a dream or deep sleep, I have to be zapped hard and annoyingly. It jolts me awake and gets me moving with a fire under my bottom. It’s been maybe 6 months of using it, and I haven’t had a single “missed alarms” occurrence since using it. It’s amazing. If you are the worst with alarms, this will help you. There is an adjustment period, you have to figure out what works best for you and that is learning curve, but it’s so adjustable and has more than zapping. So give it a go! ... show more

  • Unreliable junk
It's junk. I can't figure out why this thing is so expensive because it can't be made of anything good. I have $25 Bluetooth earbuds that have better connectivity than this thing. It worked waking me up exactly one time when I managed to pair it to my phone (Pixel 6) with difficulty. This thing will constantly fail to connect until you finally get it to go through one time (on a miracle). Problem is, it constantly disconnects itself. So, every time you go to bed you have to go into the Pavlok app and re-sync the thing to get it to work. However, even if you do that you are rolling the dice that the thing won't randomly disconnect itself from your phone in the middle of the night and fail to wake you up in the morning because of it. The whole point of this watch is to reliably wake up heavy sleepers and it can't even do that. It's useless without the app and it has no screen (despite it's price) so you have to rely on some light system on the side of the watch to determine what state that it is in. The connectivity of this thing is so bad that it now won't even pair to my phone at all (see video). It constantly just fails on "syncing alarms" (of which I only have one). I tried all their troubleshooting steps of forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings and trying to pair it over and over again but nothing works. I have the watch plugged in and sitting right next to my phone and this thing still can't connect. Now, imagine this thing working from over 10 feet away (not happening). I can't think that my phone is the problem as I have several other Bluetooth devices connected to it without any issues (a galaxy watch, Anker Bluetooth earbuds, and Razer Bluetooth headphones). I would give it a higher star rating because it isn't uncomfortable to wear and it can shock you to wake you up however since it can't even perform the one basic function it was created for I can't give it anything other than one star. I'm going to try to return it as it's junk that can't be relied on. It's basically useless at this point since it can't pair with the app on my phone. I'd rather it not end up in a landfill or worse in the ocean where it chokes out some poor sea turtle, but honestly, I don't think it could even manage to do that right. ... show more

  • Great for individuals who have a hard time waking up to sound alarms
A more expensive purchase for me for sure, but absolutely worth it. I have struggled for a very long time being able to wake from deep sleep. I have never been successful with sound alarms and knew I needed to invest in a more reliable device/method. I love this watch. The set up with the app on my phone was very streamlined. Even when my device disconnects, it reconnects on its own making it incredibly reliable. I think it is supposed to be marketed for an everyday use as well, but has no other features for everyday use. I think it would be great to have even just a digital clock on the watch face. I only wear it when sleeping because it does not have any beneficial use to me personally outside of that. The watch band is comfortable and setting up alarms is a super easy process. I have never had any issues with any of the features that I use it for. I have had mine for about two years now and it still works as well as it did the day that I bought it. ... show more

  • It will most definitely wake you up. GET EM FOR YOUR KIDS!
Annoying but it'll get you outta bed! Gotta do them jumping jacks or you'll get shocked. Don't turn it up to 10, im warning you now! 5 or 6 is plenty. If you turn it up past that and sleep through the alarm, you'll be in a lot of hurt! I woke up with the watch shocking me after a solid 10 minutes. I didn't notice how uncomfortable it was until I awoke of course. I dread this thing now and make sure I wake up before it starts to spark and snap my wrist. There was a couple times where I basically ripped it off me because it didn't recognize my fake jumping jacks ... show more

  • Overpriced and complex with poor customer support. May do the job, but poor value; may return.
The Pavlok 3 feels like a product in beta testing with incredibly inadequate owners guide. What is delivered is a "watch" face directing one to the Pavlok.com app, which immediately starts trying to sell you the "watch" you just bought. Eventually you then discover that you need the Pavlok 3 app from Apple/Android to make it work; then charge it for 90 minutes with battery lfe estimated at 3-5 days. Next pair it USING PAVLOK 3 app, and finally things begin to be easier. Setting up the alarm functions on the app is easy and some degree of customization is allowed. I bought this ONLY because I am a heavy sleeper; the 50% setting for zap seems about right for me time will tell. Wasn't interested in "changing habits" ... Something allegedly it can do. It will be interesting to see if it can track my sleep; couldn't find the setting for this. Owners manual provided is a joke; it prints out entire manual on one page of type so small as to be illegible even with a magnifying 🔍. The only way I figured how to configure and set up was by bugging Google/You Tube for help ... Fortunately there's a lot of You Tube help, as provided owners manual is useless. Feels like a device in development with little customer service/support. For $180 this is a poor value; may return. Later I realized that the app makes the assumption that you keep your phone adjacent to the pavlok watch, otherwise it unpairs and then becomes useless. This has so much potential, and it is so expensive, but it is a joke as is. ... show more

  • Good but doesn’t alarm sometimes
I’ve been using this as an alarm for the past 2 months it works quite well, however I notice there’s an issue when the battery gets too low(around 40%) the alarm won’t go off thus I recommend keeping it charged otherwise it does it's job quite well

  • I love this thing!
I come from a Military background (Dad is 1SG Army Veteran). As anyone could guess, just the deep voice of Dad can wake me. But everything else is often a miss. I can have recurring annoying alarms but still sleep heavily through them. Fast forward to growing up in college and moving out of the house, my biggest fear is waking my husband from my multiple alarms. This Pavlok is ESSENTIAL in my household! I can wake to the vibration or combination with shock NO PROBLEM. All without disruption of my husband’s sleep. The battery can also last for several days if I forget to put it immediately on the charger. The app is easy to use and clearly conveys the battery percentage as well as offers to set up other routines. ... show more
