It's true that the clock is plastic. However, it looks really good on a wall and it's hard to tell. The main advantage is that it is not heavy and is easy to mount in a wall. The mechanism is silent and the time is accurate. Many reviews talk about difficulty attaching the pendulum. The piece has a slight notch that needs to be "pressed down" into the slot and not just pushed into the slot. Quite easy, just need some attention to detail. The clock does what is meant to do, tells the time, it's a very cheaply made item, for the price I don't know what I expected, it's nice looking I give it that, it looks like it's made of wood, if you dropped it, it would break easily. Overall it looks good hanging on my wall, the only downfall is because it's plastic, the pendulum squeaks, if it's quiet enough, it can get annoying. ... show more

This is not a high-end piece, light molded plastic, and, pro-tip, had to literally use thread to tie the delivered pendulum to the swinger attachment because I couldn't get it to click into the swinger-thingy (advice from another reviewer) and it wouldn't stay attached. But it's adorable, and as an extra clock for the guest room, it gets the job done. This is the smaller model in white. Yes, for this space, may have been better with the larger model, but this will do fine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This clock is very light so great for use with command strips. It was easy to assemble and looks fantastic. Very pleased.

This inexpensive clock looks good, but it is a very cheaply made product. First, I struggled with the hap-hazzard packaging because it was in a box that wasn't large enough, so whoever packaged it used a plethora of tape to ship it. Second, the back of it has to be removed to get to the battery and hang the pendulum. That consisted of unscrewing 10 tiny screws. Third, the pendulum, a very cheap and flimsy piece of plastic, would not stay in place. I had to use scotch tape to secure it into position. And last, I had to push the battery into it's slot so hard, I had to gently hammer it in place. I think if was $20.00, it would be worth it. But not worth waht the seller is charging. ... show more
