I bought this mainly for the sunrise alarm, but the brown noise ended up being my favorite feature. It's much more soothing than white noise, and I use it every night now. What Works Well The gradual wake-up light does what it's supposed to do and was worth getting for that alone. The brown noise is excellent—way better than I expected. The putty color looks good in my room and the design is simple and clean. Haven't Tried Everything Yet My partner set it up but isn't interested in most of the extra features. I've poked through the different sounds and colors and have a general idea of what's available, but haven't really used them for myself yet. I want to try the wind-down mode and just learned it has a motion sensor. There are definitely more features to discover. What Needs Work The app could use improvement—it works, but feels clunky. Overall I'm happy with it even just using the brown noise, sunrise alarm, and liking how it looks. The fact that there are more features I haven't tried yet is a bonus. It does the main things well without being complicated.

This has been the best alarm I have owned! At first, I was skeptical about buying this alarm, but after using it for a few months, I can definitely say that it has helped me fall asleep faster with its habit-building routines and wake me up more gently with its relaxing lights and sounds. It has woken me up every morning without an issue, and I even started waking up before the alarm goes off (which I have never done before with any other alarms). I believe it's worth the money if you have trouble falling asleep or waking up.

I LOVE my hatch! I got the new putty color, which looks so sleek on my nightstand. The simple design matches with any room. It was extremely easy to set up and connect to my phone, and there is plenty of options of different color and sound combinations to choose from. It’s fun to play around with the different options and create your own personalized routine! I was initially worried about not waking up to the peaceful noises since I’m so used to waking up to my phone alarm, but I was pleasantly surprised when I easily woke up feeling well rested! You’re able to adjust the brightness and the volume of your routine to meet your needs as well. It’s extremely easy to use and navigate. Big fan of my hatch!

I almost returned this clock because it had a bit of a learning curve. At first I was not a fan of it being run through the app but I eventually learned how to use it. I’m actually really loving the wind down feature that lets you have a calming sunset light that eventually dimmed to dark with some gentle sounds, and then eases into an hour of white noise. They do try to reel you into a subscription for additional sounds and light patterns I found I was able to have everything I needed with the free version. And I absolutely love the mourning Dove sound for waking up. It’s super gentle with nothing jarring. I also like the nightlight feature where you can either turn the light on or the clock will show for a few seconds if it senses motion. For you low-tech people out there hang in there learn how to use it and it might end up being one of your favorite alarm clocks ever!

The Hatch does it all! I have always struggled to fall asleep at night and the Hatch’s calming lights and sounds make it so much easier to drift off into a deep sleep. My favorite feature is how customizable the colors and sounds are. The app is very easy to use! I bought the Hatch mainly for the alarm purpose, however. It slowly wakes you up with light and sound, which is great for your circadian rythm. I have been waking up feeling so much calmer and less startled. Waking up slow allows your body to not jump into fight or flight when waking up. You should try the hatch if you struggle to wake up in the morning or face any sleep anxiety!
