I had been wanting to purchase one of these for years. However, I sleep with a box fan (on max level) and didn’t think that a Hatch Restore would be helpful for me because I already use a fan for noise/airflow. I decided to go ahead and get the Restore to test out the sunrise alarm more than anything. To my surprise, each feature of the Hatch Restore has been pretty life changing for my nighttime/morning routine. Firstly, the sunrise alarm theory works very well. It gently wakes me up instead of a jarring alarm. I get up for the day feeling way more rested and peaceful than before. I use the free version of the app and set up the 30 minute “wind down” routine with the “sample” sounds that comes with it. Each night, the Restore plays a different ambient sound while the night light slowly dims with the 30 minute timer. Once it fully dims, it switches to my sleep sound I chose, which is nighttime crickets. I have it set to a specific sound level that can be heard over my box fan. The sound quality is amazing. Mixing fan noise and ambient noises is actually a really great move for better sleep. I personally think that the premium membership would be worth it - then you can create your own routines and use any of the sounds in their rather large sound library. Lastly, the UI for this clock is really great. Tap it anywhere to see the time, press the top button to start your nighttime routine, hold it down to turn off your alarm. Simple and easy. Yes, the clock is very expensive. But this is the most extensive and customizable clock I have ever seen. It really has helped my sleep tremendously and I have been recommending it to so many people. Worth the money!!!

The Hatch Alarm Clock has completely changed how I wake up. I love the sunrise feature. It gently wakes me with light instead of a loud alarm which has made me feel so much more rested. There are tons of customizable options for light colors, sounds, and routines, which makes it easy to personalize and adjust based on my mood. It’s easy to use, looks sleek on my nightstand, and genuinely improves both my mornings and sleep. Highly recommend!

I bought the Hatch 3 thinking it would be a nice gadget, and it ended up being one of the more useful additions to my bedroom. The little dot-matrix time display is subtle and readable, and the whole unit gives off a soft, warm glow that actually makes my bedroom feel calmer. Sound-wise it’s excellent. There are several soundscapes that aren’t cheesy or overly electronic. I use them both to fall asleep and to read in bed. The sounds are textured enough to fill the room without being distracting, so I’ll either drift off or actually get into a chapter of a book instead of doomscrolling. The Hatch has cut down the time I spend on my phone at night because I either fall asleep faster with the sounds or I’m able to focus on reading instead of opening another app. Morning wake-up with the light is nicer than a blaring alarm. The light ramps up gently and feels like waking up in a sunrise instead of being yanked out of sleep. It’s enough to get me moving without putting me in a bad mood first thing. The alarm tones are clean, and pairing tone plus light makes mornings less jarring. If you are a heavy sleeper, they do also have very loud alarm tones that will get you out of bed! Overall: beautiful design, very usable sounds, and it actually changed my bedtime habits for the better. If you want something that looks good on a bedside table and helps you stop staring at your phone at night, the Hatch 3 is worth checking out.

I love it!! The sound machine is awesome and the selection is great! The alarm clock is very bright and loud. I’m a heavy sleeper and I haven’t had any issues waking up. It seems durable and high quality I think the design is beautiful. The app is very user friendly. Start up was quick and easy and editing is quick and easy as well! I don’t know how I’ll ever sleep without Hatch again!!

While the price may seem steep, the impact this clock has had on my morning routine has been worth it! When I got the clock it was super easy to set-up through the app, which is where you control your settings from. I love the design because it is so simple and "aesthetic" as well. As for functionality, I will start by saying I bought this clock because I have horrible morning aggression and wake up extremely irritable.. it is not pleasant for me or anybody else but having this sunrise clock has made me significantly less of a b***h in the mornings. The wake up is slow, and you can choose how long you want the clock to gradually brighten in the morning. I have mine set to start at 6:30am and brighten over time until 7:15am. It also has a handful of free wakeup noises to choose from that also gradually get louder as the light gets brighter. I find that this slow transition from sleep to awakeness has changed how I operate in the mornings, not only in attitude, but also in "grogginess"... not only am I calmer and happier, I also no longer feel completely exhausted upon waking up/being woken up suddenly by the Apple alarm (worst sounds known to man). 10/10 would recommend to anybody battling with morning aggression or difficulty waking up suddenly/sleeping through alarms. TL;DR - This clock works extremely well in my case, to wake me peacefully. I feel more energized when I wake because I am not jolted out of sleep, and I also wake up much happier and significantly less irritable. This clock has given me a better start to my day and is super cute and easy to use. I can't speak for everyone, but for me this clock was worth every penny.
