I have a clear roof on my lanai and it can get really warm. This shade is so nice. It filters the sun making it much cooler. The color is much prettier than in the pictures. It's kind of a warm straw color. The size was good to fit the way I wanted and the fabric appears to be a durable type of plastic so I expect it to last awhile. ... show more

Great product, sails are well made and posts (sold separately) are exactly what you need. The auger posts are convenient and easy. Would suggest installing at an angle and if you can install with one side against concrete is best. Suggest you buy at minimum one of the posts that anchors to concrete. Very sturdy with 3 inch post and steel gussets welded at base. Recommend install were two sail points meets. I modified a planter box to cover the base. Suggest you use metal cable and buckles to connect sails. (Purchased Separately). Great product, looks great, and provides nice shade. ... show more

Sails are tricky. This is not my first purchase of these sun shade sails. I ordered a larger version of this thinking I had the measurements I needed. The reality is what surface area you're covering, go a couple of feet smaller with the sail. Going exact size, will make it difficult to get tight. My first install I used paracord, which if you're good with knots, then great, I'm not good with knots, so it doesn't get as tight as I would have liked it, also paracord will eventually wear out, and removing them is a longer process as well. So, after I got my pool enclosure re-screened I took a different approach and purchased Stainless snap hook carabineer and stainless turnbuckle hooks. I had a couple of sail corners that I had double up with the turnbuckle in order to reached the fixed rings on the pool structure, but I love the results of this sail with the other ones I had also purchased, everything is tight. The shade is great, I now have more useable pool deck. I have no idea how long these things will last in the Florida heat, especially since I most likely will remove them seasonally, my ratings are for the initial feel and performance of them. So we will see their durability after a year. I'll know when re-installing if their withering. My biggest advice/takeaway for those interested in adding these sails for shade, simply have a plan going into the project, especially if you're using multiple sails. ... show more

Had this almost 1 year and looks like I bought it yesterday. Went through all weathers well except snow because so-cal but what little rain we had worked great and with stood heavy winds and the sun for almost 1 year. Buying another 1. Works great I bought a second one June 21 2022 because I loved the 1st one. Not the same at all. The threads are looser so more sun shines through. The ends are loose even though we've tightened as tight as it will go. The sides curl down instead of staying straight like the other one. I'm 5'10 and the 1st one I can walk under every where under the canopy. The lower part touches my hair so I bend some but not too much. The 2nd one I can walk to the middle and that's it. The lower part I'm playing limbo. It rained yesterday and the water falls through more in my 2nd one then my 1st one. If I received the 2nd one 1st I would have never bought another one. They are easy to install but time consuming. Preferably better with 2 people if you have more even better and faster. Doesn't come with the hooks, nails and such so had to purchase separately. Full total about $50. Lets see how long the 2nd one lasts. ... show more
