Sails are tricky. This is not my first purchase of these sun shade sails. I ordered a larger version of this thinking I had the measurements I needed. The reality is what surface area you're covering, go a couple of feet smaller with the sail. Going exact size, will make it difficult to get tight. My first install I used paracord, which if you're good with knots, then great, I'm not good with knots, so it doesn't get as tight as I would have liked it, also paracord will eventually wear out, and removing them is a longer process as well. So, after I got my pool enclosure re-screened I took a different approach and purchased Stainless snap hook carabineer and stainless turnbuckle hooks. I had a couple of sail corners that I had double up with the turnbuckle in order to reached the fixed rings on the pool structure, but I love the results of this sail with the other ones I had also purchased, everything is tight. The shade is great, I now have more useable pool deck. I have no idea how long these things will last in the Florida heat, especially since I most likely will remove them seasonally, my ratings are for the initial feel and performance of them. So we will see their durability after a year. I'll know when re-installing if their withering. My biggest advice/takeaway for those interested in adding these sails for shade, simply have a plan going into the project, especially if you're using multiple sails.

This came just in time, today is 106 in AZ and everything I plant disintegrates. I bought a custom shade last year, and spent $150 on it. It said it was bullet proof, it was not, it basically melted, so we'll see how this goes. Honestly, I'm happy already, this one looks so much better, and fits better too?

Canopy is great so far. Just installed it and seems the same as the smaller one I paired it with so time and sun abuse will tell. The ropes though. Really?! How are you gonna sell a 12’x12’ Sun shade and only provide that short amount of rope? Thankfully I have carabiner ratchet lines I was gonna use anyway but REALLY? That definitely needs to be done better.🤙🏼

I bought this for a week long trip in a VRBO with a shadeless pool. I tied it up using rope, string and wratcheting cargo straps, 1 corner to a fence and the other 3 to local foliage. It wasn't a pretty installation but it did the job. It worked really well for our purposes and allowed us to use the pool 2-3 times as much as we would have been able to without it. It seems durable, although I have no idea how it would hold up in the daily sun for an extended time.

I’ve been looking at these for a few years but was nervous about the installation. I found this one and purchased the suggested hardware and honestly, the installation was so easy. I love this addition to my patio and it makes outdoor relaxing even nicer in the shade it provides.

Product easy to install, I used bungee cords, seems to be holding back and protecting from light rain well. However, the product is 1.5-2 feet smaller, all around, than described. I ordered a rectangular 10 x 13. And as someone complained, one area seemed to be fraying, or poor quality, but it is not falling apart. It is doing what I expected or what is advertised for. I have had it up for past 3 weeks and is doing good. I ordered 2, but returned un-opened second sunshade. Good experience with these shades now. Will probably order a 2 ft bigger around the perimeter or a 12 x 16, only, if current shade lasts me thru the summer and more.
