  • Worked better than other hard rubber pads I’ve tried
I tried two other hard rubber pads under my front loader washer which actually reduced the walking problem from a few feet to a couple of inches. When I got these I set the washer to high spin and it did not move a millimeter!

  • Appliance salespeople are idiots!
If you are an appliance salesperson and do not offer these you need to have your head examined. We've had our Bosch laundry pair for a few years now and it's been a love-hate relationship. I'm not the one who does the laundry, but I'm the one who hears them run and gets sent running to "catch the washer" before it gets up against the wall or falls off of the platform. You see the high rpm (1100) spin speed that gets the clothes so dry also can create a lot of vibration depending on the load size. When we built our new home we decided that a first floor laundry was a must. I designed the cabinet base and tops so that they are 15" off the floor for an easy load height. I spec's a center cabinet to separate the machines. I spec'd a pair of 15" high base cabinets with a single drawer and topped them with the same granite as the countertops in our kitchen to add some mass and hopefully deaden vibration. This works quite well for the most part, but the washer is constantly walking whenever it spins out. Once it even came forward enough to drop off the front of the slab top. We added bumpers between the cabinet and the wall which did help, but not really enough and when it got up against them it got really loud. We bought the same laundry pair for my Mother at the same time and her washer walked all around the bare concrete basement floor also. So I started searching and came across silent feet. I'll be honest, on first impression and with the limited presence and relatively high price they seemed like something you'd see on an infomercial or something. They kind of gave the impression of one of those miracle products that are overpriced junk. Part of what got my attention was the mention of sorbothane. I rememeber this from an early 1980's TV show called "That's Incredible" and was surprised to find the episode on you tube. (...) I decided based on reviews here on Amazon etc. to give this product a try. I started to search locally to see if anyone had them and quickly realized that I was wasting my time. I ordered from Amazon and they showed up on the 24th which is much quicker than the estimated date of 12-28. I just installed them yesterday 12-26. Unpackaging them and finding them sticking to the packaging inspired immediate confidence. Today we put them to the test. Once in operation the difference was immediately obvious. I was initially concerned because I didn't get the granite as clean as I had hoped for under the rear feet, but at this point it appears as though they are stuck down nice and tight. While I realize this is a very short term review based on initial impressions, I'm quite confident that these are the real deal and will do what we need them to. I should also add the Bosch makes a hold down "bracket" set to keep their machines from walking, but it requires it be screwed down to the platform which I find ridiculous. I mean who is going to put a hole in their floor to anchor an appliance? ... show more

  • Feets don’t fail me now.
I grew up where the washing machine was stored in the darkest, dankest, and most repellant part of the garage, also known as ‘The Dungeon’. The floor had the roughest of concrete finishes which kept the top loading machine in place through a combination of fear and friction, so life was good. Now I have my own garage which is fully lighted with banks of fluorescent tubes which shine on a polished granite floor, upon which sits a front loading washer, on a pedestal with a drawer for extra height and storage. I insist that everyone call this place ‘The Garage-ma-hall’ since it bears no resemblance to my childhood motif. But all was not well, as the washer would try to escape by walking about six inches during each wash, which was done above a medium speed spin cycle. I cleaned the floor, checked the machine for level, looked for shipping bolts, considered getting rid of the pedestal drawer, and researched stone to metal epoxies, when I blundered upon this invention. Could it be this simple? Isolate the vibrations induced from the spinning with a soft rubber foot which will naturally adhere to a polished surface? Bring it on, because I’ve had enough of being on my knees with a mirror and flashlight trying to find the gremlin or gnome pushing around my labor saving device. The ‘red’ package version of these feet contains four pucks with a soft rubber base which grabs smooth surfaces like glue. Apparently the ‘green’ package has felt on two of the feet so you can slide the machine in place easier, but I wanted no prisoners this time and had all four feet securely bound. My floor is polished stone on top of a concrete pad, so noise was not an issue as much as travel. I tested the feet by washing an especially soiled load of laundry, and set the spin cycle at a hyper-space velocity. I measured two points from the sides of the washer for reference, and started the wash sequence just like a boss. When it was done I was delighted to see that for the first time since purchasing the machine, it stayed in place. I checked the measurements and couldn’t find any difference above 1/16th of an inch. So apparently these four rubber pucks managed to frighten or kill, my laundry room gnome, making life gooder via science and stuff. So if you’re reading this review, you may have a laundry room gnome giving you grief also. You can try the flour test and see if he leaves any footprints, or have a shaman over to throw some chicken bones to divine a solution, but the Anti-walk Silent Feet will do the trick and magically appear at your doorstep when you order some. ... show more

  • Where have these been all my life?
I am so pleased with how well these work. I have a very narrow, laundry room and my machine walking was a constant thorn in my side. These do the exact job they were made to do which unfortunately you can’t always say that about a product. I can do comforters, blankets, towels, and then the machine stays still and the noise is reduced. Love them! ... show more
