Let's get this out of the way--and this applies to all my reviews: The review is based on the price. We're not going to compare this to the commercial weight benches you find in your local gym that typically START at $250, and most cost a lot more. The beginning: assembly. If you have your own tools, use them. It's great that the necessary tools are included, but you'll have a way easier time--and probably put it together more solidly--with actual tools. The instructions are very easy to follow. It took me about 40 minutes to put it together, which seems reasonable. Everything is labeled clearly, and there is no guesswork. The bench: In terms of usage, as another reviewer mentioned, perhaps the thing those familiar with commercial benches will miss is the adjustability of the seat itself. It's fixed in place. The padding on the seat and back could be thicker, but it's fine. It's definitely wide enough. The bench is steady, too. I don't think I'd do dumbell incline presses with 65's, but that's not my use case. As far as adjusting the bench, you do need to make sure the metal piece on the back sits squarely in the slot. Sometimes, it takes a slight bit of finesse, but this is really no big deal. My biggest issue with the bench is what you see in the third picture, and to the manufacturer's credit, is also in their pictures. On the front leg, the screws protrude very far up. I can see scratching yourself (or maybe worse), if you're not careful when taking your legs out from under the pads. But you can solve this. I'm having a friend 3D print some (probably silicone) covers to put over the screws. There are definitely other, more accessible ways to do this. (If you're wondering, you can't put the screws in the other way, or they'll hit the ground and scratch your flaw or rip your carpet.) For what I need it for, I'm perfectly happy.

I should tell you that I'm not an expert on training benches - I'm not super experienced with free-weight training (though I am planning to become better now!) so I won't try to offer a point-by-point analysis of the features of this bench. Overall, it seems like it will adjust to plenty of positions and will probably let you do everything you could do using a basic professional bench at the gym . . . but with the big bonus for home use that it's not too heavy, folds up nicely, and can easily be moved around either folded or unfolded. I'm most excited about how well the bench is designed, fabricated, and packed. The boxing is impeccable, with all the pieces packaged efficiently together and secured in place. Unboxing is easy. There are a lot of parts so do allow some time for assembly (took me about an hour and a half). But the instruction book has very clear pictures with part numbers so I never felt lost. For me the nicest asembly feature was the cardboard sheet of nuts, bolts, and washers - all plastic-wrapped in place on top of their corresponding pictures and numbered to match the assembly drawings. Nothing hardware lost and no hunting around or trying to match parts with numbers. I'm including a photo so you can see what I mean - this is after all the hardware had been removed. The metal parts fit neatly together. The nuts and bolts come with flat washers for the points of contact with flat metal frame, and with concave washers where needed to snuggle against metal tube pieces. I had a little trouble inserting one bolt that must have been very slightly mis-threaded at the end; took a little extra force (and a longer allen wrench) to get it going. Other than that, all easy. For convenience, I did substitute my own pliers for the included flat wrench to get better torque in the final tightening. Overall, the construction looks very good. I expect this bench will last me for a very long time - probably forever.

For the price, this is a really solid weight bench. I’ve been using it for basic weightlifting and a few ab workouts, and it’s been great. My kids even like using it for situps, which has been pretty funny to watch. It was easy to put together with clear instructions, and everything feels well made for the cost. I also love how simple it is to fold up and store when I’m done. Definitely a nice pick for a home gym setup.

The parts of this bench do not fit, or even come close to fitting. The braces are off and cannot be made to fit. Seller will not stand by their product. I was told they would send a paid return label, however I have to pay for return postage, which will be as much as the bench costs. And I paid $59 + and when I click on the items now, it is $29!!!!

I needed something lightweight and easy to move around in my home gym and this item fit the bill perfectly. It's strong and sturdy but still lightweight enough to move aside when you are not using it. It has had no problems supporting my weight (large +200 lbs) and feels sturdy and stable when sitting on it. Assembly was easy and the included instructions are among the best I have seen for a product like this. The directions make it extremely easy to understand how to assemble the bench, particularly compared to some other similar products I have purchased over the years. If you have your own tools (metric allen keys and metric wrenches) the assembly process is even easier. The hardware kit does include all of the tools you need for assembly but it's obviously much easier with better tools. Great product overall and it's ideal for people who want a basic weight bench but have space limitations and want portability.
