West facing deck - regular awning doesn't work, umbrellas don't work, pergolas too expensive! I set this sail up from the roof to the deck railings. Think 📐. It took 15 mins to install - easy takedown for windy days or winter. Do purchase the hardware from an Amazon vendor. Gets a decent amount of sun off you, though I will resist going on the deck on hot sunny days with temps in excess of 87 degrees fahrenheit. Perforated so the wind comes through and the rain - no ponding on the sail. Bonus of added privacy if you want it. Add, a beverage, comfy seats and you are set.
