The media could not be loaded. I have owned 4 different shade sails over the last 12 years and this one is by far the best. The fabric is densely woven for high UV protection but is still porous so water buildup is not a concern. The corner hardware is extremely strong and well made, plus, each corner fitting is affixed to an aircraft grade, stainless steel cable that is sewn into the entire perimeter of the sail. The result is, it is very easy to apply very high tension, which makes the sail very tightly stretched with no wrinkles and stability in high winds (a regular feature of Nashville, Tennessee summer thunderstorms.) The density of the fabric weave provides great shade for a comfortable experience even in blazing sun. The color is lovely. Highly recommended!!

The super ring hardware and perimeter cable are great, but limited standard and even “custom” sizes are issues, in recanglular and especially right angle shapes. The “custom” notation allows Amgo to charge a 15% restocking fee if you aren’t satisfied with the product as opposed to the free return on the (very limited) standard sizes. I wanted to replace my 22’ x 11’ rectangle shade with a larger one that wasn’t available when I placed my original order, but since it was “custom” all Amgo would do is replace with the same size. The custom sizes available change almost every time I check. No holes as reported by others, and the cable protruding from one of the corners retracted when I tensioned the sail. I would have gladly paid the difference in price for the larger custom size now showing up on the size charts. The material and build are first rate, fluctuating size availability and poor return and exchange policies not so much. After I wrote my original comments regarding return and exchange policies, I’ve been in contact with Amgo’s customer service and they are much more flexible now. We are still working out details but in the meantime I’m adding two stars to my rating. If all works out as anticipated I’ll give them five stars. 🙂 Changed my rating to five stars, given the great customer support. The shade was 3” short of 22’ so they took it back and refunded my payment in full. I received the larger size I ordered today.

We purchased the 24’x22’ beige sunshade and absolutely love it so far! It was Prime so delivery was quick. It was packaged all banded up and in a large box. It is shading a 26’x24’ pad at the end of our pool. It has been up for about a week and has already been through torrential rain and some wind (approx 30 - 40 mph) and handled it all very well. We went with this particular shade because of the extra durability of the corners along with the wire sewn around the perimeter. We attached it to 6”x6”x12’ poles that are 4’ in the ground with concrete. We also purchased 2 of the ColorTree Triangle Hardware Kit (winch + hardware kits + cables). This is a must in our book because it is a lot of pull on a shade this size and just makes adjustments easier. However, ditch the stamped out wrench that the kit comes with and use a ratchet wrench. I don’t think you could get it tight enough otherwise. We also lowered the back by 6 inches to help with water run off. However, it could have been lowered more because we did have a little pooling in the center with a heavy rain. This will not keep you dry in the rain, it does go through the shade after it is completely saturated. When sitting underneath it, it is probably 10 degrees or so cooler than direct sun. There is a little bit of lifting (2-3 inches) with stronger winds, but you should expect that with a shade of this size. We do expect for the shade to stretch a bit more so there is room to tighten each corner as needed over time. We plan to take this shade down in the winter. Overall we are happy with the purchase.

Overall it’s a great product. Very heavy duty and easy to use. It’s held up in the Houston heat and storms/hurricane winds without the slightest issue. If that’s not a resounding endorsement, nothing will be. Used with the fencing ratchets and stainless wire.

You'd need a minimum of a 14ft x 14ft square area for this to properly tension in. If your area is 12x12, get a 10x10. Make sure you check it right away too. First one I got was damaged in an undamaged shipping box. The corners are overkill, and make it difficult to use with some hooks and hardware. Looks heavy duty though! But it is overkill. Corner loops will last 50 years! Shade sail will only last 2-3 years if you're lucky.
