Are you a 73 year old registered engineer with over 55 years of experience working with manufacturing assembly, wood working, electronics, assemble of a 2-seater full scale kit built helicopter, design and construction of bridges, in good health and sound mind? Do you have good skills in following well written, accurate assembly instructions, like for a helicopter, furniture, and shop equipment? I do. In spite of all of that, after over 12 hours of gruesome effort, I gave up, disassembled a true piece of juke, packaged same piece of junk, and sent it back to Amazon. I hope Amazon can get their money back from Aleko. If not, I would throw same piece of junk in a dumpster and hope some friend of the devil gets it and waste their time with it. I have NEVER EVER had such a bad experience with something you assemble. I paid over $400 for this. I value my time. If you do too, hire someone to assemble and install your awning and avoid all the miserable stress of DYI Aleko. I think I’ll now have a beer and try to forget this experience. Next time, I think I’ll just walk through a briar patch and enjoy the experience compared to this one. To all except Aleko, have a nice day and God Bless America. I Wonder if this gets published.

The awning came missing the center support. Customer service was completely un responsive and never sent the missing part, Aleko customer service is extremely rude and argumentative . When I wasted an entire day assembling the awning I called them reporting the missing center support. The 2 representatives were extremely man and disrespectful and basically caused me that I was lying that I was missing the a $5. part and they never sent. Besides the missing part the awning is a complete piece of garbage. And their support is pretty much the same as their awning.

The media could not be loaded. The quality of the awning is great. I did have a problem with the center arm being sent mounted upside down which resulted in a breakage. And i had a problem figuring out how the center roller assembly fit. I have attached a video of the fit for the center roller which is critical. Aleko was easy to contact and is sending me a new center arm which is the main reason I am giving them a 5-star. They are great to work with if you have issues.

Well the price is real good, but it is really hard to assemble, the manufacturer did a lousy job with the manual (it's terrible), it came well packaged, but it's impossible to assemble alone, it is very heavy and you will need the proper tools. Besides that I think it is OK. I had to pay someone to assemble to me. I'll keep you updated when it is ready.

This is a great awning for the price. The instructions are terrible but is not that difficult set it up. You need two persons. The awning fabric is strong and very nice. Aleko has good customer service for any questions. The stopper are when retracting the awning and are for the arm’s elbows so they dont pass the front bar. If you don’t put the stopper you may end up retracting too much and the elbows of the arms will pass the front bar and when you open it again the arms will push the front bar to a side... please please use the stopper!s. Update 05/04/2020 all machinery still working. Though the fabric has broken where the plastic suspensions wheels are because of the constant friction. The fabric is brittle and dry and it is easy to break. So my next buy will be just the fabric. Let see how much is going to cost.

BUT... Overall a 3+ star rating for me, but... And let me explain [the "but's"]: 1. Awning delivered without contact from carrier and was left "near garage" - this was an issue as anyone could have collected it and the box had damage which I could have addressed to carrier on-the-spot. 2. Damaged box - clearly reflected : Had exposed Awning frame/structure end pieces which were found to have been damaged and grinding of both baked-on enamel and ground down / denting of Awing structure material. 3. Once opened I found more damage [dent/dings] to other awning bar and frame areas. 4. Was sent the wrong Awning cover color [Solid Green, not Multi-Green Stripe]: Exchanged at warehouse with no problems. 5. Was sent the wrong Awning type: Bought/paid for the more expensive "half-cassette" but received a basic/standard awning system: Again traveled to warehouse to exchange and was informed they had none of either "the basic-Standard" or "half-cassette" in stock - none expected to be restocked for 2 plus months. 6. Ultimately decided to take the non-half-cassette awning I received [as I did not want to wait until this fall]; was given a refund for the price difference and just a little more for the damage - not worth all the hassle, but... 7. I was able to work around correct damage by "reforming" / reworking damage areas out with wood, a welders screwdriver, a soft hammer, and webbed belt material: A lot of extra effort and caution to ensure no more damage; proper form fitting of framing material; and finished appearance. Conclusions: 1. Must insist to be notified prior to carrier delivery! 2. Inspect, inspect, Did I say INSPECT upon delivery!?! 3. Once received, open box and INSPECT again! Look for everything: Condition, Color, Type, components, and Accessories. 4. If you are not mounting to a Brick or concrete wall, You "Will" require additional: Lag or Carriage Bolts, Drill, Line level and Snap-line, Half in ratchet socket for bolts and metric size wrench for bar/wall bracket 4ea stainless steel mounting/retaining bolts. 5. Adjust wall mounting brackets to be secured on outside and within a few inches of the three (3) swing arm mounted locations. 6. Can mount support roller prior to, or after mounting, but mount it prior to hanging. 7. I would double-check "nylon support washer" end for proper alignment after installing the motor end to support bar and awning roller prior to mounting. 8. Four (4) metric mounting machine screws were literally a "millimeter" short of easily connecting the two 8+ inch connecting bars [two ea bars required/provided] - had to "compress" frame/bar or buy "longer stainless steel bolts, [most likely matching SS nuts and washers as well]. Or, buy one SS M6-40 to 60 mm bolt to "pull down" the four bolt holes to accept provided 4ea machine screws. 9. A couple other things I'm sure I forgot, but...I was fortunate to not live far from company warehouse - I must note that the people there were friendly and did everything to accommodate me. Conclusion / Bottom-line: I wouldn't do it again though - Would return and wait for what I ordered and -
