Love the Awning. In the past, we used a patio umbrella that worked ok, but didn't cover the whole deck like this awning does. This awning looks more expensive than it was. I think the value is well worth it. I watched YouTube videos for installation, and that helped a lot. The instructions are a bit weak, and the adjustment for setting the angle of the awning was totally incorrect. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this awning for summer shade.

I was charged $350 to install it. It was not easy to install,, however it looks beautiful. We purchased 13 x 10 gray/white stripes to provide shade. However, the fabric is kind of thin, so maybe we should have went with a darker color to get more shade. Overall, we’re very happy with it, but can only give it a 4 star b/c not covering as well as we would like. As far as the opening and closing it’s very easy for my 83 year old mother to open and close. I would recommend it, but make sure you have a good handyman to install it.

The originals got moldy and started falling apart after 2 years. Its Florida so they took some beatings. These new ones are far more durable and better quality. The video is not correct at least for the awning that I bought 2 years ago. I wasted my time doing everything in the video and it was for nothing. Don't disconnect the arms from the front of awning, don't need to. Don't separate the main awning bar in half, don't need to. Just disconnect one side of the main brace where the round roller piece fits in. its not going back up that easy but its getting there.

I ordered this product and ít came with extra part and missing part that I could not do nothing but wait, contact Aleko by phones thẹn emails and missing part never arrive, waited almost a month then decided to call Amazon and the rep apologized for the inconveniences… and said I will get my refund back in 7 business days thẹn waited and waited again for 3 weeks and decided to call in and another rep. said no documented nor any pending and item is out of return eligible :) and she just said sorry and I asked to speak to a manager and she just put me on hold and ignored…. I called in again and lucky this rep. Helped me and be able to refund my money. First time dealing with this and is learning that have to ask or check to make sure the rep did documented of what he/she had said or issues will become problems and will end up :) policy reasons = lost $, it is very hard to find a representative that will represent the company or just representing to accept the paycheck and I was lucky to have a rep. that responsible to his job.

There are 2 brackets that hold my 10 foot model. After installing the brackets, the awning slides in and is secured by a bolt through each bracket. With the awning in the bracket, it is almost impossible to access the bolts to install. I think this is a design flaw. If the folks who designed the mounting brackets ever had to install one, they could easily make it a pin or something to hold it that would be easy to install. The two brackets to hold this don't seem like enough. One more in the center would be better as it has some movement. When extended, the awning moves a lot and my wife is scared it will snap. We just don't extend it fully if there is any wind at all. The frilly material at the end that hides the hardware when closed is attached by running a plastic tube through a channel in the material and then sliding that material covered tube through a channel in the front of the awning. When they sewed the channel at the factory, they were not paying attention and it was too small to get the plastic tube in at several points. I had to cut the stitching and re sew it in several places to get the plastic tube through. A little quality control would have certainly alleviated this very irritating problem. I would sure check the sewing on the awning material when you get it. I would have sent that back for a replacement, but I was in a hurry. Even the one that was sewn correctly was really hard to get through. When I bought this, I thought it was silly to have a motorized one. But, the way it is geared, it takes many many cranks to extend and retract. I think they use the same gearing for both instead of making the gear a little smaller for the hand crank. If you want a workout, buy the manual one. But, if you are on the fence, the power one would be better. On the positive side, this awning does work fine and it very attractive. For the price, if it doesn't snap in the wind, it is still a very good deal .

Love my beautiful awning. After looking up videos and reading paper manual, we were able to put together pretty quick. This awning comes in 2 separate boxes. 1 with frame and the other box for fabric. Very happy customer.
