We recently installed the ALEKO 20x10 awning and are very pleased with the final result. It provides excellent shade coverage, looks great, and has made our patio much more comfortable and enjoyable. The materials seem durable, and the finished installation feels sturdy and well-built. The installation was a bit challenging. While the instructions were generally helpful, some of the finer details were omitted and left open to interpretation, which made certain steps more difficult than they needed to be. Taking extra time to review the parts and plan ahead helped us work through those areas. Overall, the quality and performance of the awning have met our expectations, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a large, attractive patio awning. The end result was definitely worth the effort.

Once assembled and working this awing seems great. Time will tell if it holds up, but it seems well made. It wasn't easy to assemble. I'm pretty handy but there were some things that were just difficult. I did it by myself, except that my wife helped get it on the wall. It would be easier with two people. Once mounted on the wall I cranked it out manually first and one of the arms, the left one, didn't extend properly. After several more hours of struggling I figured out that the arm was loose and hung down too low, the arms are preinstalled, that is why it didn't extend. After addressing that issue it worked fine and then I went about programing the remote. No issues with the remote.

The quality of the awning and the functionality are good. Once installed, the awning works well and provides much needed relief from the afternoon sun. Installation was a bit challenging. The instructions are open to interpretation since some of the finer points are omitted. My husband watched numerous YouTube videos before he attempted the install. With the exception of one missing end cap for the reel, everything needed to install the awning was clearly marked. I can’t yet speak to the durability, but the awning runs smoothly and quietly.

- The manual is horrible. it needs to be thrown away and re-done from the first to the last page. - I'm a mechanical Engineer, and you NEED to be one to figure this out by yourself. - Some of the screws are too short, luckily I actually had the right (longer) size available. - The main screws to hold this awning up on the brackets (the ones which were too short) were of a super-cheap and super-soft 4.6 quality (An Engineer or Mechanic will know what that means). I replaced them with grade 8.8 screws. - The awning only comes with concrete anchors to mount it to a wall. I had to buy my own lag screws to mount it into a 4" thick wood beam. - Some of the bolt holes to put the tubes together were misaligned, it was impossible to put the screws in. I re-drilled these holes. - The set comes with zero tools. It assumes to have a full set of metric sockets in 3 or 4 different sizes, plus actually a metric Allen wrench. - One of the three tubes that wind up the fabric was seriously dented on one side and with a 20mm sized hole on the other side "as shipped", meaning the packaging was perfectly fine. This was not transportation damage, but bad quality check. I contacted Aleko by email and through Amazon, and up to today, a week later, the replacement part has NOT been shipped yet. - About every part came dented and bent (including the pictured winding tool that's supposed to be straight), I spent a couple hours to straighten everything out while I was going along with installation. Summary: Bad quality, bad engineering, bad workmanship, and a customer service department that is friendly and polite, but not helpful.

We couldn't be happier with this awning. My wife and I installed it ourselves in about an hour. The motorized feature is a must have. Sure beats struggling to put up a pop up canopy. Just push the button and it is instant shade. Perfect for these hot summer days. The gray and white stripped canvas is the perfect contrast to our siding. Would definately recommend this product.

We just installed this awning and are very happy with it. The directions were a little tricky but our handyman figured it out. He said that it was a quality product and great value for the price. We ordered a 10x8 to cover the little seating area on the corner of our deck.

I purchased the 16 x 10 Aleko retractable awning and the product appears to be well made but I have been struggling to assemble. I am fairly handy and do most of my own home repairs and projects, but the instructions have been cryptic at best. I have had to watch and rewatch YouTube videos, pause, and take screenshots to try and determine correct part orientation. After several frustrating hours of trial and error, assembly, disassembly and reassembly, I think I finally have it correct. Now on to phase two: installation and programming the remote. Hopefully that goes a little more smoothly. I will report back. Please reach out if you have questions or pointers.

This is a great product, we bought it unassembled and it was not too hard to assemble. It shades the front of our house perfectly and we love the automatic wind protection roll in feature! Lots of use so far, and we love it!
