I bought this for my wood shop and for the money it's a great compressor. It runs all my tools and it's alot quieter than I thought it wood be. It only takes 6 min. to fill from empty to 175 lbs. and it only takes up about 2 sq. ft. I'm happy with it.

Out of the box, upon start up, the compressor was slow building up pressure. When turned off at around 150 psi, I could hear a significant air leak under the shroud which shouldn't be happening. Since I had cut up the box and am mechanically curious, I took my tools and removed the shroud to find one of the copper threaded compression fittings on the unit was loose. I tightened it and the leak stopped. The compressor has performed flawlessly and is a great value for the price. A final quality inspection should have caught the loose fitting but an easy fix so still worth the money. ... show more

This compressor has a really really poor design with failure designed right into it. The pressure switch feed leaks, the back flow valve leaks. It is a mess! I have used it 3 times. I am now ordering parts to correct some of its failings. I am 77 years old and had hoped it would last longer than I. The design is just overwhelmingly bad. On the bright side the tank seems OK. I can use my portable unit to fill the tank. It is also louder than any compressor I have ever owned. If I had seen the interior of this I never would have purchased it. I have taken some pictures of the inside to help you decide if I can upload them. It looks like they are blocking me though. ... show more

I chose this air compressor mainly because of the cost and the fact that it has a 175 PSI working pressure. Most now days are 150 or less. I have a large motorhome that the front tires need 120 PSI. Most compressors struggle to reach that pressure. This one does the trick. The pressure drops from 175 to 150 before it kicks on leaving plenty of pressure in reserve. It is not as loud as I thought it would be, considering that is has to get to 175 PSI before it shuts off. Although it is not like some of the new ultra quite versions, the noise level is very acceptable. Although I did not some reviews stating that their compressor leaked right out of the box. Most were able to simply tighten a nut. Mine did not leak and held the 175 PSI with no problem. Quality is very good for the price. Comes with nice features like two good quick connect connectors, a built in air regulator, and easy to read gauges. ... show more
