We are very satisfied with these awnings. We bought 4, 8 ft tan awnings. Assembly was done by one person (me) and a child as my assistant. The videos helped and I Referred to the paper copy included and the videos to counter check and be sure I was doing things right. It took some patience but came together pretty well. For hanging the awning you will need two people and two ladders and need know a little something about proper fastening. Such as securing it properly so that it won’t be hazard. These are easy to roll out and rolling in takes just a tad bit of effort but is pretty easy also. The one problem I had was with the T bolt that connects the side arm bar to the front of the awning and allows it to be pushed in and out. We had two bolts shear off. One before we assembled the whole thing and hung it, and another one after we had it assembled and hung. The company was great the first time it happened and sent out the replacement part quickly stating that they had strengthened this part and it shouldn’t happen again. I recently messaged them about the second part that broke and requested a new part for every awning to be sure it doesn’t happen again. If they don’t send the parts I will update but as of now I am a satisfied customer and despite the hassle of the bolts shearing off I would still order these awnings again. They are great.

Very nice shade, nice to look at - easy to open and close. It keeps the setting sun off my sliding glass door. I work with wood outside and it works just perfect for me. Top winds it is safe to use when fully opened - 8 mph., it can survive 10-12 mph partially opened. It is not good in a downpour - close it in a downpour or lose it. Instructions are very poor, a lot of common sense is required. Watch you tube videos. Mine was lost in shipment and they had to order a new one, customer service was very good - they responded every time in less than 24 hours even on weekends. One day short of 3 weeks it arrived in one piece, all parts were there undamaged and all the holes lined up. I fully recommended it with a caveat - It is a "shade" - nothing else. Heed the warning label.

Safety hazards 1: screws to keep the awning in place are too short for a typical wall in use. The only situation their screws would work is when you have a thick piece of wood exposed. if the stud is hidden inside the wall with some distance to the surface, as is typical in the U.S., especially with a stucco wall, the screw would have at most 1/4 inch inside the stud---that is not enough to support the weight of this awning, especially when it is open, it creates a very large leverage. To install it, the professionals I hired had to go to Home Depot to buy longer screws, which cost $45.5. Safety hazards 2: The right arm of the awning cannot hold its position due to a loose screwed (See attached video). This resulted in the arm hitting the piece below when we tried to close the awning---the awning could not be closed. The defect is apparent when you compare the two arms, the left arm is normal and functioning, but the right arm is loose and dropped, hitting the piece that connects the leg and the bracket on the wall. I paid the professionals $220 to put this thing on, and it can only be half closed--ugly. Also, because there are so many low-quality and wobbly parts, it takes the professionals 30 minutes to figure out what is preventing the awning from closing, guess who is paying for their time? Other flaws: Flaw1: One of the two cylinders that roll in the cloth has a dent—it cannot be connected to the other cylinder. Flaw 2: It is very time-consuming to align all the moving parts when there are so many flaws and loose parts. Although the price of this item is cheap, the installation is costly. Seller response: The seller suggested ‘solutions’ that are not solutions at all. For example, the seller offered a $30 refund and asked me to use that $30 to hire someone to work for 10 minutes to replace the loose arm, while the replacement arm is nowhere to be found yet was promised to come after 15 days + shipment time. The seller also suggested that there is nothing wrong with the screws since they have tested it. Why do they need to test it? They only need a ruler to figure out it is not long enough for a typical house in the U.S.!

13x10 size. Read a lot of mixed reviews so was a little skeptical but very pleased with tge result. Pieces are not labeled with part numbers so better to do this first so you can work the instructions by the diagram. I mounted to a 2x6 with 4x4 supports and it works great and looks good. Took about an hour to put together and 2 people with step ladders to get it mounted. So far pleased wirh it

It seems to good sturdy material but what a hard thing to put together. Nothing is labeled for parts. It was the most difficult instructions I've ever had to build with. If the parts were labeled and the instructions were in proper English and maybe a bit more detailed it would be so much easier to build

This company is a great company. I bought 2 13' x 10' awnings, as I have a 26 ft deck. the 1st one took a 4 hours, because we were trying to figure everything out. 2nd one took an hour. the only complaint was there was Bar C did not have a left or right and that is important. that bar is what you put the front of the awning and what the valance of the awning goes in, if that is not put on correct it does not roll out right. Because of that one of the arms bent and almost broke. I contacted Aecojoy and they sent me a replacement awning, not just the bar. it was sent out within a week and a half. We had 0 experience hanging them on my house, we researched how to find the studs under the vinyl siding and that took some doing and watching to make sure they were level. once we got that done it was very Simple. We did watch the video that is on amazon and that made it easier. but not that they are up, very happy with them. Would purchase again!! Very happy!!
