Update as 01/27/25 THIS COAT IS ALSO WATER RESISTANT. Just went to Niagara Falls, it’s was pouring raining and I remained cozy and warm. BEST COAT EVER! It’s extremely hard to find a good coat as a plus size, and when we decided to move to western NY I was in desperate need of a new coat, mine old one was crying for help. I am 5’7” with 320 lbs, and this coat fitted me just right on size 26. They don’t have a bigger size or I would have gone bigger just for extra comfort. I can definitely wear a sweater underneath, it has enough space. The faux fur inside is extremely soft and cozy! My favorite part is the hood that falls perfectly around your face. All the zippers and buttons are METAL I wasn’t expecting this quality for the price. I wish more colors were available on my size but the black fabric is beautiful and looks very resistant as well. If you are just like me and like to ditch your purse to run errands during winter, this coat got your back with lots of pockets! The armpits are a little snug but I have wide arms so it’s a problem I have with almost every coat I bought, just sharing in case you have the same problem. Doesn’t bother me but it might really bother you. Lenght is very flattering and waist adjustment helps me feel like a more proportional cozy potato, differently than other coats that makes me feel like I am wearing a puffy potato sack. Very warm and so far resistant fabric, don’t know about being water repellent yet, will come back here as I wear it to update my review.

So i've had this coat for 2 years now and it has held up brilliantly!!! i love it!!! It has plenty of pockets and they have hand warming material inside them. The waist can be altered to sit as snug or as loose as you like, it's long enough to cover my bottom and the arms don't ride up when you reach out for something. It's very cosy in wind, rain or snow!! I live in NW Indiana right off lake Michigan and believe me the lake effect snows alone are enough to chill your pipes, but this coat keeps me toasty warm. Sometimes when its cold i don't even have to layer up underneath it, i can just wear a tee or light top. The hood is a little on the larger side and this can make visibility a little difficult but when it's so windy i appreciate the extra size of it as it keeps my face clear of the wind. The "fur/fluffy" around the hood is still perfect and also gives a little barrier from the elements. I got the black coat and it still is as black as when i bought it, the shape has held up brilliantly as had the hardware - zips, press studs etc and it is my go to winter coat.

This jacket is very warm and cozy . I like that all the pockets are lined in the warm fleece. So if I forget my gloves I just stick my hands in pockets and they stay toasty warm. While I like the zipper pockets the thing I hate it is it always wants to catch the material around it so it gets stuck alot. The main zipper can be hard for people who have dexterity issues. With having two zippers you have to make sure it's l8ned up just right to zip. I don't know if it's just mine or all, but when I unzip to take off it wants to get stuck at the bottom where it connects and not want to come apart. Other then that I love this jacket it keeps me warm, it's water resistant, not bulky feeling like some and fits great

This is a really good quality coat. First off it came packaged nicely in a zipped heavy duty bag. The zip ends were shiny in their clear wraps. This has many pockets, some with buttons, some with zips. It's the first coat I have worn with so many useful pockets. Do not worry about the zipper. It works well. Living in N.J., we've been having very cold days with minus wind chills. The Royal Matrix coat has provided ample warmth. I am generally an XXL in cotton tshirts that can shrink, generally XL in cotton/spandex leggings and cotton/spandex pants; bust 42in.,, 5'1, 160lbs. I have worn a 16 in a dress. I prefer a looser fit in clothes like tunics and tshirts. This coat's length is 37in. , and It falls to about 3 in. above my knees. This does feel a bit big (I cinched in the waist maximally with the drawstring, which helps), but I do have room to layer. I am 5'1", shoulders about 15.7in., hips 44in.and it also feels a bit long. I think a bit longer is fine in length, as the bottom part of the zip can rise to give more of an opening for legs to move and for ease in sitting. Despite it being a bit roomy, I'm wearing the coat. I always layer. Also, I have rolled the cuff once to deal with sleeves that are a bit long. In hindsight I would have have bought a 14 L, gone down 1 size, and not bought the 16XL. Don't hesitate on buying this coat. The price i paid was fair. I would recommend to go down 1 size for a roomy enough fit. and 2 sizes for a form fitting look, IMHO.

I've had this coat for a year now, and I still love it. One of my best Amazon purchases. · High quality, cute · Durable · Nice pockets · Perfect for 20-50 (F) degrees Stats: 5'9", ~150 lbs., measurements 40-29-40, dress size 6/8. I bought this in a size 8, and it fits as expected. I could have probably sized down and still fit, but I wanted the room for layers and the range of motion for my arms. It is perfect and I don't feel restricted at all. This coat looks and feels good in terms of quality and style. The green is a lovely neutral forest color. The hardware is still shiny and smooth a year later. It looks cute and the waist-cinch gives a nice shape. The hood is large and cozy. It does hang over my eyes quite a bit, but I wear glasses so that actually really helps keep rain off my face. Just be aware that your peripheral vision will be a little limited. It is indeed water-resitant, and even puncture-resistant. My cat likes to ride on my shoulders pretty much daily, but even though she uses her claws, it doesn't show any holes, snags, or damage. The hand pockets are large enough for my phone, wallet, keys, and pretty much anything I want to carry when I don't want to bring a purse. I also love that the pockets are fleece and keep my hands warm, even with all that other stuff in them. There are two narrow pockets on the chest that can hold pens/lip balm, or one glove each if the gloves aren't too thick. This weight has been ideal for my PNW winters, which are generally 20-50 (F) degrees, rainy, and very rarely icy/snowy. The sherpa lining goes across the shoulders in the back and down either side of the zipper in the front. It's always been warm enough; sometimes I don't even layer up if I know I will be going into a store because otherwise it can get a little too warm. A solid enough purchase that I remembered to come back and tell you guys a year later.

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for this jacket, but i'm so glad I took the chance! When I first took it out of the package, I was like OMG this is so heavy, but once you put it on, it doesn't feel that way. The fur lining is not junk and feels good against the skin when wearing the hood (which is a lifesaver in these cold temperatures in the Northeast). I'm 5'5 and 125 lbs and usually wear a medium in most clothing, so I ordered size 8 to begin with and it was too big, so I sent it back and ordered the 6 which fits great. I love the fact I can pull the drawstrings to make it look fitted. The top pockets are in the perfect spot when you just want to rest your hands in the fur lining for warmth. To be honestI don't even know if the bottom pockets are lined, lol... i just stick my wallet in there and snap it up because I hate carrying a purse. The zipper is a little tricky at first, but it doesn't take long to get used to. I send a lot of things back to Amazon for lack of quality etc. but this was definitely a good purchase!

I have been searching for just the right coat for years and finally came across this one! The lining is warm and the sleeves are even warm! Lots of lined pockets, good length that covers most of my thighs. I like being able to unzip the bottom for a couple of inches for when I drive. I really like that it is more of the traditional "parka" style I've had in the past, ànd I appreciate the ribbed-knit cuffs. My only concerns are that the metal zipper catches every few inches...even after I've waxed/lubricated it; and that there are not enough snaps along the length of the zipper track. I am now able to wear 1 layer under this coat as opposed to wearing multiple layers before and STILL not being warm enough! KUDOS to ROYAL MATRIX!!!!!

Immediately loved this coat. The length hit me right around mid thigh. The weight wasn't too heavy and definitely not too light. The faux fur around the collar was appealing, not matted or fake looking and easy to fluff/manipulate. The ribbed cuffs are snug and the hand pockets are deep and soft. The top pockets are smaller yet large enough for keys, a small wallet etc.... the drawstrings for the hood pull tight enough for a snug fit but the hood is a little oversized so wearing a hat will help if you have a smaller head. The lining is beyond soft and incredibly warm . The first time I wore it the temp was 37. East winds were 22 with gusts up to 40. Rainfall was mild. The coat kept me surprisingly warm even in the arms where the coat was insulated but not soft fur lined. The color was exactly as shown and the sizing accurate. I am 5'3 and weigh 135. I ordered a size 6 and it looked and felt great with a single layer as well as a turtleneck and sweatshirt. Not to big. Not to tight. Love every about this coat . Amazing value and would buy again as well as recommend to all. Very happy with my purchase!
