My hair color is never the same for more than six month. As a hair dye enthusiate, I rank this brand of semi-permanent hair dye as second on my favourite list (first being Jerome Russel Punky Colour). These are cheaper and easier to get a hold off. My hair went from faded orange brown to dark blue in an hour. The color is primarily black indoors but has a very obvious blueish tint under sunlight. The color out of the bottle is bluer than expected but dark enough to cover a bad dye job. As I had orangish brown hair before, the color faded to a mermaid greenish color within three weeks. I preferred it to the previous orange color. I have not tried other colors, but I won't hesitate to recommend this brand over others. It smells good too. ... show more

Not worth the effort of applying, for sure. The consistency was weird, thin, and stringy somehow. It was tricky to apply because of how thin it is and the color turned out flat. It runs, even after washing out, and transfers terribly. Two or three washes gets it out completely, so it definitely does not have staying power. Will not use this brand again. ... show more

I have only used the blue black but I love it. Looks more black indoor but pretty blue outside. Make sure you wear gloves and try to wash out your color in tile shower or stainless steel sink. I think it could stain plastic showers or sinks. Also after use, use a pillow case and hair towel you don't mind messing up. I get night sweats sometimes and it bled on my pillow case but I kind of expected that. Buuut it feels like you conditioned your hair after use. ... show more

Didn’t get my hair very blue black, I’ve used other products that have done better for same price.. and it faded a lot after just 2 washes when the other brand lasted a good 2 months! If I was given a refund I’d be willing to try another color otherwise I’m going back to the other brand

The bottles were also a lot bigger than I thought... I have short (almost shoulder length) hair and I think I'll be able to get at least 5-7 applications out of each bottle. I did have to use bleach to get some dye out of my shower, but it did all come out. My towel and pillowcases, etc., did not stain at all. As for the effect on my hair -- I left it on only 10 minutes without heat because I was just looking to darken my hair, not actually make it black. It worked well. No skin/scalp irritation or reaction, and I have very sensitive skin and a dry scalp. I was nervous about putting this on the undyed portion of my hair (I finally have healthy hair and didn't want to ruin it!!) but it wasn't drying and my hair feels fine. I tried Adore products and I like the fact it doesn't stain the scalp. It covers grays ok not all the way usually there are a few grays popping out which is ok. I would recommend this if you have a lot gray maybe not, but just to have that nice black shine this is it.
