I'm 62 and have mostly gray hair but wanted some pizzaz, hey, I'm old, I'm allowed..lol This color was just perfect but don't do what the instructions say, never wash your hair after you dye it. Just leave on, rinse, than wash after 36 hours. Don't be scared by the bright pink color on your head, once rinsed it will be a beautiful shade of lavender. So far 4 shampoos and it's fading gradually but the color is still there. Lasts about 10 shampoos. I recommend this for how easy it is to use, the beautiful shade and the gradual fading which means no roots showing..lol All in all, a great product! ... show more

This is the only hair dye product from Amazon I received sealed, and it worked beautifully even tho I got watered down bleach developer and my hair didn’t lift enough. I love this brand! So pretty! I’m very happy with the results, I only wanted lavender ghost roots but the ends of my hair were more orange so it made a pretty combination. This is after one wash. Okay, first of all, make sure you do your research when dying your hair and not just slap it on there right after you bleach. I've been dyeing my hair for a few years now and I've learned through googling after I made the mistakes. So I highly suggest you go online and read forums and articles about dying hair. Secondly, I have no clue why they say apply to wet hair, its absolutely NOT the best for this hair dye. This dye has lasted a good MONTH for me, and I've tried all the purple and pink shades. I do not bleach my hair, I am a pale blonde naturally so I dye over my hair and let it fade for a month or so before redyeing. Anyways, what always works for me is that I go shower beforehand, scrubbing my hair while shampooing a few times to help strip excess oils off my hair. Then, I get out and I blow dry my hair straight for easier application. Then, I usually let it sit on my hair for at least an hour while I do my nails or homework or whatever, then I go and rinse with cool to luke-warm water until the water is clear using a color safe shampoo (I use dove or l'oreal). And I wash my hair every morning as well!! Just a warning though, all the blue shades stain soooo badly. I had green hair for months before I color corrected it out using pinks. Never going blue again!! But it is long lasting if you DO YOUR RESEARCH! It sooo cheap, too. It mixes together for custom shades and you can dilute it with conditioner. ... show more

I bought 193 soft lavender. I had my hair a nice near platinum color. So I thought why not lavender? My hair has been all around the color wheel and back and for me a good lavender is hard to come by because the brassy tones in the bleaching process dulls lavender. Finally achieving a light tone, I bought this product and put it into a bowl. I initially hesitated, as it looked more like clotted blood red than lavender. But looks can be deceiving so I smeared it onto a tissue. Purple, but way more saturated than I had expected. Ok, so I diluted the dye with about 25% conditioner. Now, my hair has been washed 2x and dried and it is way more a fuchsia than a lavender. The color is pretty but it runs WARM and doesn't do my cool skin any favors. I don't know, I returned it. It says it required heat to process and to get it 1/8th inch from scalp. I can do that in the front but not by myself in the back.
