Cannot say enough good things about these umbrellas and they’ve transformed our new patio. I’m in love with the style of classic 1960-1970s Palm Beach look, which is exactly what these umbrellas embody. Love the pagoda style and stripes. The instructions say 2 people to assemble, but each one took me all of 3 minutes to do solo. High quality, love the crank feature to open them as opposed to the manual push-up that many others require. Look much more expensive than they are and looked at very similar options from a few of my favorite designer stores that I was going to purchase instead until finding this option because the prices were 5x+ higher than these. They are very sturdy and well built. My only small complaint is that the scalloped edges which hang down, easily blow and get stuck up against the top portion of the umbrella with very light wind, requiring you to manually flip them back down into place. Not a big deal overall and still looks amazing, so it’s not justifiable to dox a star off for that. Posted a few pics to show how cool these look both outside and the view from one of our family rooms off the foyer. Such a cool first impression of the backyard and truly “make” our entire patio setup. ... show more

The yellow and white umbrella is fabulous!!! I have been searching for something like this but they’ve been way out of my price range. This one is well made and very easy to set up. It has a crank to open or close it. It also has two sets of holes at the top, with a metal pin to stick through the holes. I’m not sure why this is necessary since the umbrella seems to stay up just fine without the pin through the holes. Maybe it’s just added security to keep the umbrella from sliding down the pole and closing. The finial at the top is silver. I might spray paint it white…or just leave it. The umbrella is LARGE and offers ample coverage if you’re seated around the table. I can’t wait to paint the table white to make the umbrella colors pop. I would highly recommend this umbrella. Well made at a reasonable price. It’s making me smile so much. :-D ... show more

I’ve purchased many cheap umbrellas for years only to have them fade after only one season of use or begin to break. When I saw this umbrella I purchased it right away and o couldn’t be more pleased. It’s lightweight and very easy to open and close. The colors are bright and the umbrella really stands out. It also comes with a storage bag. I slip the storage bag over mine when not in use. I also put an application of Scotchgard on the umbrella and storage bag to prevent it from from fading and to protect it from the elements.     • Catches the wind easily and flies out of its stand.

Total wind bait. Would not stay in place. The wind caught it and threw it numerous times. This umbrella , though cute, it structured in a way that catches the wind . We get at least one new umbrella every summer season. Never have we had one that catches the wind as badly as this one. I cannot recommend it at all. ... show more

I was just divorced and I had two of the expensive black and white versions of this umbrella. Grrrrrr ....HAD. My ex took them when I went to move because he knew how much I loved them. (entirely different review). So... I found this purple version for a good price and decided to give it a go. I have a pink 1960 house and it looks so so lovely in the patio. I will say that the expensive version is made much better for a few reasons. 1. The frame of this one is entirely plastic. (minus one star) 2. The expensive one had Sunbrella fabric. It was like a duck/utility canvas that had been weatherproofed. Big difference. These are made of cheap umbrella fabric like you would see in a tiny personal umbrella. I have a Walmart Better Homes and Gardens Umbrella that even has way better fabric than this. I can't imagine this thing will last very long. And whomever wrote that the sides flip up.... they do.. That didn't happen with the expensive version because the fabric was heavier. But... alas the design is nothing short of lovely. On the plus side, The crank is SO much EASIER than the expensive one. My daughter and I used to have to get on a ladder and open the thing together just to get it up. And it would pinch your finger if you weren't extremely careful during the process. It was quite a chore. But man... the movie star, palm Beach vibes these things give... however fleetingly... is everything. I am hoping it lasts a year in our Florida crazy weather. I don't know if it will but right now it makes me smile. I think a real option here is to use this indoors for like an event or a trade show... it would be a lovely item for that as well. ... show more
