I received my 60" NAM60 Flail Mower less than two weeks ago where it arrived in a steel frame crate wrapped in plastic. It was very well packaged for shipping. Lift gate service was used to unload it from the delivery truck. Mine did have a small amount of damage to the PTO Cover as it was broken where it mounts to the gear box. I reached out to MechMaxx through Amazon support and got a response the next day. I sent pictures and they immediately sent a replacement part. I received the PTO Cover about a week later. Removing from the crate was pretty simple by removing eight nuts and bolts on the bottom and lifting the top part of the frame away. Directions in the booklet are very good, making assembly of the mower very easy and straight forward. After assembly, I added the gear oil to the unit and greased up all the fittings. The most difficult part of the process was cutting the PTO shaft to the proper length. If you are going to cut your PTO shaft, make sure you know how to properly measure before cutting. There are YouTube videos that explain the process in detail and it only takes around 15 minutes to measure and cut with proper tools. I used a cordless reciprocating saw for the cuts. I checked the tightness of all nuts and bolts and the allen screws on the belt pulleys before using the mower. I got it mounted to my 25hp tractor and mowed down a good portion of my hedge row that is comprised of weeds, thicket and trees. It cut through standing saplings that were 2 1/2" to 3" in diameter with ease and shredded everything into a fine mulch. I've used it a few times so far and the tractor seems to handle it fine being 25hp. I have a lot more to do and this machine is perfect for what I need. For the cost, I don't think it can be beat. I'm very happy with my purchase and with the customer service. Response time and communication with Steven at MachMaxx support was great. I also purchased their SG24 stump grinder through their website. I would have purchased it through Amazon but it was not sold through Amazon at the time I made the purchase.

After a week of heavy use, this machine kicks a***! Works in wet and dry grass and brush. Eats large sticks and small trees like they’re nothing!! Mounted to a JD 2032r it’s a great fit, I’m at the lower end of the HP rating but seemingly no issues. Bogs down a little when in heavy wet vegetation but that is to be expected. Also cuts regular grass (lawn) way better than expected. Only complaint is the manual could have some better pictures for assembly.

It arrived with a sturdy metal frame that was easy to remove. It does the job. good clean cuts with an even discharge out the back. My 47 horsepower tractor handles it just fine, and the discharge is very small.

I bought this directly from the supplier. Have not been able to use it yet; note that it is not compatible with quick hitches, and I have run in to several problems; first, a grease zerk was not well installed and the threads are now toast, so I have to replace it. Also, I found one very loose bolt on the transmission housing that uses a hex key larger than any tool I have, so have to find the right size. That said, general materials quality seems ok. I will update once I actually use it. Update: it has a bad leak from the transmission, which developed soon after initial filling; I will have to refill the transmission with gear oil with every use until I find time to fix the seal. That said, it cuts reasonably well. Downgraded to two stars.
