This winter pool cover boasts a 14 14 scrim count (the industrys top standard) and the density of 185 GSM. Also important in pool covers for above-ground pools are the seams: poorly done, they will let dirt through. Our 24 foot round winter pool cover prevents and keeps the water inside uncontaminated until spring.
- PROTECTION FROM SUNLIGHT AND OVERGROWING. A pool closing kit for above ground must protect the pool from UV radiation that stays high in winter. Our pool closing kit has LDPE coating on it that withstands solar UV. The BLACK UNDERSIDE of the oval pool cover wont let the water overgrow.

◦ A nice heavy duty winter cover made of a high quality tarp material. Being year 31 of our pool here in northern Ohio we’ve gone through many winter covers, this one is one of the thickest and most generously sized covers we’ve seen by far. In reality the number of seasons you get out of a winter cover depends on three factors, the thickness of the tarp fabric, how generous it’s sized and how brutal the winters are. ◦ I don’t see any reason why this one wouldn’t last at least three seasons, probably more. After years of use all tarp material will become porous so it depends how much sediment one can live with. ◦ Highly recommend based on the quality of the cover and certainly comes with the best ratchet we’ve seen.

This was year 17 of our pool. This is the 4th winter cover we have used. This is by far the best cover we have ever used. It is heavy duty and very well made. I’ve used a Yankee pillow the last 3 years and really liked it worked. That is what led me to buy a Yankee cover. Worth every penny! The wife even commented about how good the cover was when she helped me put it on the pool. Cannot recommend this cover enough!!!

Just put it on about a month ago. Heavier duty that other pool covers I have purchased in the past. I feel like it will last which is better than I can say for other pool cover brands I have purchased and put tape on in the first or second year. Much cheaper than the brand at the pool store. Will plan to update over the winter but right now very pleased.

This is our first pool and our first time closing it for winter in Minnesota. We ordered a different cover and knew instantly it would not handle a winter here. After reading the reviews on this one I ordered it. Huge difference! Thick, seems so strong. The only problem was after getting the water lowered, prepping the water, putting the water pillow on, we finally got to put the cover on and noticed a tear by the grommet. Because of that we added plastic clips around the cover to add more security. That is the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5. I will update the review after the winter.

This is an excellent pool cover. It's heavy weight construction, I am sure it will not easily tear. It's actually heavier, stronger than what was available at my local pool store. Just don't do what I did. I have a 24 foot round above ground pool. I use a large pillow under the cover so I bought a cover for a 28 foot pool thinking I would need the extra to go over the cover and still have enough to hang over the pool sides. I was wrong. Even if you use a pillow you will not need the next size larger. My 28' cover just about hangs down to the ground.

After a really rough “wind” winter, our Yankee Pool cover was showing some real wear and several holes. No other cover we’ve ever had would had come out as well but we knew it couldn’t last another winter. Since we were still under warranty we reached out to customer service. They stand by their product and soon shipped a replacement! Wow! Customer service like that is awesome! Great company! Great pool cover.

Fit was perfect, very well constructed, heavy so wind will not bother the cover. Only reason for a four star and not five is the crank that tightens the wire hold down-crank is not heavy duty, works but should be higher quality like the cover.
