The first thing you notice about this box when you use it is how nice it feels. Some woods, when they're very smooth have a soft feeling to them - this is made out of one of those woods. The color of the wood is beautiful and the edges are well defined but not sharp. It fits a thick man's ring and holds it snugly enough that it doesn't fall out. The box opens smoothly and closes with a satisfying click. The top and bottom half align well. The size is just right to fit in my hand and get all my fingers around it. Too big to go in a pocket though. The only negative I have with this is with the engraving on the top. Because the wood is dark, the engraving doesn't show up well at all angles. I've tried to show this in the photos. The 'love forever' is also a bit hard to read, being small and in a script font. I think the engraving would stand out more if it was filled with a light brown or black wax. Or, it might be even better to offer this with no engraving at all and then it could be personalized locally. It didn't bother me, but I did notice that it's not a perfect hexagon. The flat sides are 2 1/2 inches across except the top and bottom which are 1/16" of an inch smaller. In case it's helpful to know, the diameter of the circle on the inside is 1 7/8". ... show more

This is a beautiful and lightweight box! The design is very pretty and the magnet inside the lid is a clever idea to help keep the box shut. This box is the perfect size for 2 rings and would work well for a wedding ceremony. The downside to this box is that the magnet is not very strong. If the box gets shaken much, especially if you hold the lid and shake it, the box opens very easily (could be a problem if you have a kid bring the rings down the aisle). Also, the inside ring slots are designed for small to average sized bands. If you have a very thick banded ring it may not fit. If you want to adjust the inside of the box, the inside material is glued in and may be difficult to remove or replace. Overall, beautiful box and design, just be cautious with shaking it while rings are inside. ... show more
