I originally got it as a portable option to be carried in my car trunk for some emergency charging since it is more portable than my garage level 2 charger. I found myself using it more often. I connect it to my Solar power system since it has a current selection (adjustable). The cable is very long. Long enough to reach to my EV. It is made of durable material and compatible with my Chevy EV charging port. No installation needed. Just plug and play. I got it for a very good deal and it has been working very well for long time now. Good price for durable quality build.

Great Level 1/2 EV Charger Picked this up as a replacement for the charger that came with my Kia EV6 GT, and honestly it works exactly as it should. For anyone not super familiar with electrical stuff, here’s the deal: I tested it on both a 5-15 outlet (Level 1) and a 6-20 outlet (Level 2). On a regular 5-15 it never goes above 12A, which makes total sense because you shouldn’t push more than 80% of a circuit’s capacity (12A on a 15A circuit = 80%). That’s actually a built-in safety feature, not a limitation. Just make sure you don’t have other heavy appliances on the same circuit or you’ll risk tripping the breaker.I saw some reviews saying “it’s not Level 2,” but that’s only if you’re running it on 5-15. On a 6-20 outlet it charges at 16A (around 3.8 kW), which is plenty fast for daily use. I also really like the LED screen—it clearly shows amps, volts, and charging status at a glance. The adjustable current settings are super handy (I can set it lower if I’m sharing a circuit), and the delay timer is a nice bonus for off-peak charging at night. I thought about their 32A version too, but that one requires a NEMA 14-50 outlet, which I don’t have at home (and those aren’t super common anyway). For me, 16A is more than enough. I get home from work around 6:30pm, plug in, and by the time I leave around 7am, the car has added close to 100 miles of range overnight. More than enough for my commute and errands. Bottom line: I went with this version since it works with outlets I already have. No extra electrician bills, no fuss. It’s compact, reliable, has smart features I actually use, and so far it’s been rock solid.

This charger is well-built and feels high-quality. One of the standout features is the built-in display, which allows you to schedule charging directly from the unit—no app required. That’s a big plus for convenience. Using a standard 110V outlet, the charger supports up to 12A. If you need faster charging, switching to a 220V outlet gives you up to 16A. I’ve used it to charge my Tesla five times so far, and it’s performed flawlessly with no overheating issues. The integrated button on the charging handle is also a great touch—it allows you to open the charge port or stop charging with a simple press, just like the official Tesla charger. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use portable charger with lower price.

You can pay more, but why wold you. This works fine and has an adapter for 240V or 120V. Comes in a nice case for easy portability, plus a wall mount if you want to install it.

Got it on a coupon for $139.99, and it’s a fantastic deal — way more affordable than Tesla’s own chargers, and it works better. It defaults to 16A on a 120V outlet, which is great if you're using a 20A circuit (as many garages have). That gives you the fastest Level 1 charging speed possible. My outlet is only on a 15A breaker, though. I can manually lower the current to 12A in the Tesla settings or app, but even if I don’t, the charger seems smart enough to automatically step down from 16A to 12A shortly after starting. After that, it charges smoothly the whole time. It comes with a nice carry bag and the extra-long cable is a nice touch, I can easily reach outlets farther from the charge port. Also, even after hours of charging, the plug, cable, and charger body stay cool to the touch (tested both on 120V and 240V). Build quality feels solid, and the handle button opens the charge port on my Model Y every time — honestly, more reliably than my Tesla Wall Connector does.Awesome value for its price! If anything changes, I’ll update this review.
