To evaluate this charger, I’ll compare it directly to the Tesla Mobile Connector, which costs $300. Priced at $219, this charger offers a display—a feature particularly useful for non-Tesla owners—allowing you to monitor charging details without relying on an app. The display is clear and provides information on power and charge status. However, unlike the Tesla Mobile Connector, this charger does not include a NEMA 5-15 adapter for standard 120V outlets, which limits its versatility. In my opinion, this charger is better suited for non-Tesla owners looking for a future-proof charging solution. Notably, it does not come with a CCS-to-NACS adapter, which could be a drawback for some users. At $199, the price would feel more competitive.

First of all, in the description they list the power connection as both 6-20 (in the headline) and 5-20 (in the description). This is a 5-20 connection, and the headline really needs to be changed. Other than that, this is a really fantastic charger for the extremely low asking price of less than $200. Being 16A max on 240v (12A on 120v), this is really more ideally suited as a travel charger than a permanently installed home charger, and the reason I say this is because for a few dollars more they sell a charger that does 32A, and you'd definitely be happier with that at home than 16A, which can take some time to recharge. Compared to the dealer-installed option, however, either one would be a great choice because no matter what, you're saving thousands of dollars. It comes with a nice storage / travel bag, which makes it all the more attractive for a portable charger, as you can just toss it in the trunk or the back seat and be ready for whatever. There are no complicated apps to data mine you, everything is controlled right from the charger itself, and the nice little screen gives you all the pertinent information, such as charge rate and all that good stuff. It comes with a 21' cable, which is plenty long enough for most folks. And the entire works seems very well made and it works just fine! Overall, very highly recommend this for a travel charger for your Tesla vehicle. 5 stars.

The Raylix “16A Level 1&2 Tesla Charger, 110v-240v Tesla Mobile Home Charger with 21ft Cable [Adjustable Current & Delay Charging] Portable Chargers for Model X/Y/3/S/Cybertruck Nema 6-20 & 5-15 Plug” works but there’s a huge problem. It has a NEMA 5-20 plug, not a NEMA 6-20 as stated in the description. This means it is not really a level 2 charger. Possibly it accepts 240V via 5-20 plug, but I have no means of testing illegal wiring. It does work fine with the included NEMA 5-20 plug (120V, 12A) adapter. NEMA 5-20 is 120-volt, 20-amp circuits with a plug that looks like |o- NEMA 6-20 is 240-volt, 20-amp circuits with a plug that looks like -o- The photos correctly show NEMA 5-20, but the title and description include NEMA 6-20 at the time of my review.

This works exactly as expected for a 16-amp dual voltage (120/240V) EV charger. A couple of details that weren't clear from the description: - You *can* still charge at 16 amps even with the NEMA 5-15 adapter plug as shown in attached picture #4: the charger seems to be detecting the voltage level rather than the presence of the adapter. So, charging is limited to 12 amps with a 120V circuit, 16 amps if you have 240V (In the picture I have a 20A/240V circuit wired to a conventional 20A outlet just for this test) - The display on this unit is great: lots of data displayed including current, voltage, total kWh delivered since power-on, etc. - the big row of LEDs looks nice although is a bit of a missed opportunity: they all flash as a single unit, in somewhat unintuitive colors (flashing blue while charging, solid green when car is either finished charging OR completely unplugged). Would make more sense to have animated green while charging, slow pulsing green when finished, blue when waiting to connect, red in case of fault. But this is a minor detail. Everything else about the product is great - nice finish, compact size, comes with nice zipper case, cable and NACS(Tesla) charge plug look great.
