I’ve had this litter box for 6 months now and i’m very pleased to say this litter box has been such a great investment. For the price including the discount that was included I am absolutely thrilled with how well this litter box works. :) The TUYA SMART app works great, I have not had any problems with it at all and the app isn’t sketchy like other apps i’ve had to use for my cats haha. Easy to understand and sleek design. (View in last photo) I can admit that it did take my cats days to get used to it, but I found a solution to the problem. I removed the legs on the litter box so my cats could get used to the odd, dome-shaped spaceship looking thing. I then put the litter box to sleep through the app. Once my cats started getting the hang of using the litter box, I then added the legs back and waited another 3 days to then turn the litter box on and set the timer to 10 minutes after it detects that a cat has entered the litter box. This way my cats would have no clue the litter box even goes off. But you know how cats are, they are nosey- but once they knew the litter box does no harm, they have gotten used to it and would watch it scoop their poopies. (View in 3rd Photo) Cleaning - Now with cleaning, I would admit it’s not very easy to clean the inside of the dome itself. It’s very easy to disassemble but because of its round-shaped insert it’s hard to hold it up when i’m washing and scrubbing it in the bathtub. If you could get another person to hold it for you then you should be fine! I do monthly deep cleaning every end of the month. You can tap the “Pour Sand” button to fully dump the entire contents (when deep cleaning) inside the litter box into the disposal bag but make sure it’s a brand new disposal bag or else it will not hold everything if there’s waste inside the bag already. Performance - I have 2 cats and It takes about 10 days for my cats to fill up the disposal bag underneath. Super easy to clean, just pull out the tray, tie the trash bag, and dispose! Then add a new bag and push the tray back in and don’t worry about the litter box until another week. Every time I change the waste disposal I also make sure to add new fresh litter into the litter box because you want to make sure your cats have enough litter to cover their stinkies. The litter box will glow with a RED LED if the tray is full. It’ll also notify you on the app. Scent - No scent at all! It includes a little fragrance box besides the poop bag but it doesn’t completely override the scent, it just mixes in with it lol. You can only smell the poopies when you pull out the tray to dispose the bag. Noise - I would say it’s pretty quiet! Not too loud but not completely silent either. Conclusion - If you are considering to use this litter box I highly recommend it! Compared to the LitterRobot*, the price is very comparable with the same functions! I can go 4-5 days without going in their litter room and it’ll be like the cats never touched it. :)

I have 3 different styles of automatic litter box. The Petree Self Cleaning (PT), Litter Robot 4 (LR4), and PetKit PuraMax (PM). I have a multi-cat household (12 resident cats and I also foster). My cats range from munchkins (with the short little legs) to CFA/TICA registered Maine Coons (super long/tall male) and domestic shorthairs, including a chonky ginger boy. Cleaning - PT - Easiest by far to to empty to bin and add more litter. Its a simple removal of the hood & dump in the litter. For deep cleaning its remove the hood, remove the ball housing, powerwash & wipe out. LR4 - Cleaning isn't too bad, the entire step has to be removed to access the waste bin, depending on where your LR4 is located, you may have to move the machine to clear the area. Adding litter can be a challenge, I had to create sort of a funnel to get fresh litter into the drum. Changing the filter and freshner pack is kinda annoying since the hood has to be removed and if it isn't exacly perfectly back in place, the LR4 won't recognize the hood is closed. Deep cleaning - Not a fan, so far I have my husband do this one but the opening is large enough I can wipe it out easily. PM - Waste bin is easy to access, deoderizers are all easy to access as well. Adding litter is easy as long as you put into Maintenance Mode and keep your cats away. Deep cleaning is also easy, pop hood off, unlatch the drum housing and clean out. Also has an available dump litter mode (accessory to purchase seperately) that makes a total litter change easy. Size - PT - slimest design, If I was chosing one for space this would be it. Drum barrel does not fit my domestic shorthair chonky boy (he is 18 lbs and too wide to fit comfortably) and it also does not fit my maine coon (he is too tall to fit inside the litter area). My 12-14 lb domestic cats fit fine and the short cats have no problems getting inside. LR4 - largest by far, however my tall & long Maine Coon fits and chonky ginger boy both fit, this is the only automatic box the Maine Coon fits in. The opening is higher than the other boxes however it also has a step that short cats use making access easier. PM - shortest & widest design, lowest entry. Chonky giner fits, Maine Coon does not. Lowe enough that my shorties have no problems getting inside. Apps - PT - App works fine and let me know when it has been used. I live in a rural area so internet can be spotty but it notifies me when a cat has used the box. It does not tell me when the waste bin needs to be empty until it is so full the drum can't complete a rotation. Does not record cat weights so no telling who just finished using the box. LR4 - No problems with the app thus far. Tells me when and the weight of the cat who just used the box. Has a scale to advise when to empty to waste drawer and how it's doing on litter. PM - Best app by far. I can record the weights of my cats into the app and it tells me by name who just finished using the box. It gives a reminder to refill litter (this is manually set), tells me by sensor when to empty the bin, how much air freshner is left and when to change the waste bin odor absorber. Note: the litter used matters. I was originally using the Petco brand clay litter that you could refill in stores. The clumps were breaking apart. I switched to Arm & Hammer Slide Multicat and it’s made a huge difference in all 3.
