Somehow this machine makes working the abs so much more fun than doing sit-ups, which I hate. You can absolutely FEEL the burn!! Not sure that the independent glides are worthwhile - for one thing, the display counter only counts the left side, not the right. However, I do like doing it "together" and then independently, if only because it's easier on me. We bought a similar machine and this one is much more sturdy, although the other one is fine (doesn't have independent glides). This thing feels somewhat cheap, and seeing dozens of the same exact ones on Amazon under different names, you know it's just a cheap mass-produced no name item, but... It's surprisingly fun to use! Our whole family loves it, and we use it every day. Trying to see who can do more. I do feel it in my muscles as well. The movement feels easy, but it definitely makes you work, and that's what it's all about. For the price, I'd say it's nice to have. ... show more

It is cheaply made seems off balance have to figure it out your self on directions but for the price i would recommend you spend the extra 20-30$ on something nicer

I did 4 sets of 20 on it with 30 second breaks in between, and I could feel my abs burning pretty good.

What I really disliked and this product is the useless assembly instructions. You literally have to figure out what goes where, it's not too difficult however its absolutely annoying! Also the hex tool has Phillips tip on one end but nothing to screw in, it should just be a hex on both ends. The red plastic thing for decoration is just useless! USELESS! and lastly the two extra hole plugs! WHY? oh yeah and there's no battery, for the display. As for it's effectiveness, I believe it will serve the purpose, I'll keep you posted in a few months or so, until then do better with the minor things. ... show more
