This item works great. We've had electric openers before. This one seems to work better and has the power to easily remove wine corks.

Save your money

First thing first is this product is absolutely a waste of your money do not purchase. We purchased these for our cabins and realize we needed to purchase batteries which can be very expensive. Then we realized that even with the batteries in it, it doesn’t have enough power to support corks get a handheld operated one if you’re on a tight budget this does not work. I bought six of them and they’re useless. Our guest couldn’t get the cork out.

Not quite perfect, but close

For the price it is surprising how well it does work. Need to read manual as the battery post arrangement will throw a lot of people. At the bottom of the battery well are 4 springs. In almost every other device, the negative pole goes to the spring. Not this time. It is still wired in series and look for the little + and - at the top of the well. Follow them and you are ready to go. It seems to have a real long screw and I did wonder if it was merely turning, but it was really digging through the cork. Once I hit reverse the cork was pulled out quickly. As I said, for the money it seems well worth it. Now to see if it has the legs to last a few years. One complaint, reason only 4 stars, the included foil cutter is on the small side and would not fit around the neck of my bottle. Had to revert to an old foil cutter. Not sure how they fix this, but it is a negative to me.

Fast and easy
Size: One Size
No need to worry about broken corks or difficulty manually opening a bottle with a sharp corkscrew. The screw is surrounded by a barrier that illuminates during use for easy viewing, both are intelligent safety features. Quickly removes the cork and just as easily lowers it for easy removal. I would recommend rechargeable batteries if not being used frequently. Relatively quiet and a solid value for the price. Nice weight as well as materials, easy to open and close the battery compartment, clean modern look.

Difficult to use the first two times!

I hadn't read any reviews and thought I'd be able to use this right out of the box without instruction after adding the batteries (4 AA). The foil remover was easy to detach and worked well. However, I thought the cork removal would be self-explanatory and instead, I could not get the corkscrew to attach to the cork. There are only two buttons and both just started shredding the cork without me pushing into it with any force. Then I tried using physical force to push down on the opener (thinking that would allow it to latch) and instead it wound up pushing the entire cork down into the bottle. I was still able to drink the wine but it splattered everywhere while I was pouring it out. The second time I tried using this, I read the reviews (all saying you just push the one button) and watched two electric wine bottle opener tutorials on YouTube. I'm not sure if my opener is defective but I don't think it was supposed to be this complicated! It still shredded a bit of the cork but finally after first pressing the corkscrew straight down into the cork (hard but not hard enough to push the cork through) and THEN pushing the UP button, the cork lifted out of the bottle. Pressing the down button released the cork from the opener without any problem. Unfortunately, the cork was slightly shredded so there were some pieces floating when I poured my glass of wine. :( I'm disappointed in the effort and trial/error this required to operate. However, I'll update my review and increase my rating if it turns out to have been user error and the next attempts go smoothly.
