Ok, I've read a lot of the good and bad reviews. I'm writing this first impression 24 hours and about 5 usages of the table after I acquired/assembled it. I'll add longer term thoughts once that's appropriate. Assembly points... If you're a smallish person, make sure you have a partner to help assemble this. I'm 6'5" and even my wingspan made some of the elements of putting it together quite challenging. Although Innova provides all of the tools you'll potentially need, I strongly recommend having a socket wrench handy to make assembly MUCH easier. The instructions are reasonably clear though some of the pictures are pretty small, so take your time in determining which parts go where (the major parts aren't labeled but the hardware is on a nicely labeled card, which is easy to match to the instructions). The table part is preassembled but you'll have to unbolt the various parts to get the protective plastic completely off. Just remove them one at a time, pull the plastic out from underneath that part, and replace that bolt. It took about 90 minutes to completely install the unit and I found the machining to be right on the mark from start to finish; no major struggling to get things to fit together. As I mentioned, I am very tall, and I weigh about 265 pounds, and I find it quite sturdy and safe to use. This is my first time using an inversion table and the sensation takes a bit of getting used to, but it actually becomes quite relaxing if you give it a moment. The "massage" element is, of course, simply a vibration pad, which I suppose is exactly what one ought to expect for the price point, but it felt nice on my back and it warms up pretty quickly, too. All in all, my first impressions are quite positive and I'm curious to see how much this will help my back and neck. I'll update this in a few months when I have a little more time under my belt. Update, December 2022. I would still strongly recommend this unit. It's been steady as a rock with not the first hint of a problem. I find that using the least aggressive setting on the inversion and doing it for like 5 minutes makes a marked difference in the level of pain in my back. Make sure you take some time at setup to get the height adjustment right; it makes all the difference, especially when you're alone when you're using it. When it's properly balanced, it's pretty easy to pull yourself up out of the inverted position.

It was pretty easy to assemble, not bad at all. I'm 6'00" and it was very comfortable and relieved my back pain and helped with a right side rhomboid pain I've been suffering from for a while now. The relaxing feeling in my whole torso has been incredible. Especially since I've been back in the gym for a few months now and squats have been taking a toll on me at 55, I'm feeling it way more than I did 20 - 30 years ago. That decompression is awesome. The heat and massage are the best. Absolutely worth every penny.

Pros: I feel so much pain relief. I have four bulging discs and an old compression fracture. This really helps things go back into place. Nothing else in this review matters as much as this. I have fewer headaches and migraines. It's inexpensive Sturdy. It's not going to come apart, which is important for a device like this. Neutral: I ended up not using the vibration or heat function. It feels nicer with it off. I could have saved some money with the basic unit. Cons: Very bulky and will not fold and stay against a wall. So heavy that if you have a back problem you won't want to keep it under a bed and get it out every time. My PT warned me about the clamshell design of the way it holds your ankles. Personally I can maneuver and bend down well enough to get this working, but if you have mobility problems, it's hard to get into place and it can be hard to clamp down the clamshells on your ankles. I also have beefy ankles and I have to stand on tip-toe for the clamshells to be in the right place when I close them, and then further maneuvering to get the balance right for inverting. With all this, I do recommend it. If I had to re-purchase, I might look at models that can be stored BUT I do wonder if easier storage makes it less sturdy. My next house will just have to have an inversion room.

I had one of these before that cured my sciatica when Dr's could not. But loaned it to a family member and never got it back. So I bought this one and I actually like it much better. You can reverse the ankle braces on this one which was a big bonus for me as I have really bad ankles from years of sports injuries. The old one actually hurt my foot that I broke years ago but this one does not. You haven't lived if you've never suffered severe back pain. It is not a joke. You have to be careful and go slow using these but it's as smooth as butter raising up and down. And the relief of hanging upside down is immediate. I can only compare it to the other one I had. But this one just has more cushion. Feels like a must better quality and why at the time I bought it was ranked as number one. I have been recommending this to people I know who are having back issues. A few have gotten one themselves and have thanked me for it. I've even offered to let someone come try mine. I just won't be loaning it again. Lol But yes, if you're having back pain and especially sciatica. Don't be afraid to at least try this. The price was very competitive and it works great. It wasn't that difficult putting it together either. I might have had a tug of war once or twice but overall it didn't take very long. Maybe 30 minutes or so. Instructions were very easy to follow, again just take your time because it has to be just right. But very easy to use, very comfortable just lying on it. And should the ankle cuffs irritate your ankles in any way, just reverse them. Thanks and good luck.
