My wife and were in the market for a replacement ceiling fan for an upstairs rental unit in the dining room. Previously there was just a standard dome light that was very unappealing and certainly didn't help with the airflow in and around that room, so when we were looking around, we wanted something that checked all the boxes and came to a conclusion on this brand and style. First off when it arrived, we were able to get right to installation and assembly which was not as bad as I thought. It did come with fairly easy to read instructions and with a little electrical background I was able to install and assemble in about 20 minutes without the time it took to uninstall the old light fixture. It is probably best to hire a professional if you have no knowledge of electrical installations, but keep in mind much of the length of time as well as the difficulty often shows up because of the existing electrical box as well as the condition of the wires and connections that will hook up to the fan. Luckily, we had a somewhat new electrical box, and the wires were in good condition with no real complicated connections inside with room to spare. The mounting plate went on without an issue, and the connections were fairly straightforward. Once the hard part was over assembling the fan blades and down rod components were quite easy. Remember if DIYing this you will need additional tools like an electrical pliers, and perhaps a few others like wire strippers, etc. As far as the functionality of this fan its quite good. Everything we would want it to do, whether that be reverse, change speeds and dim the brightness of the light is all on the remote which is super convenient. It does have high airflow as suggested and the DC motor is very quiet. A slight hum once turned on but after that the airflow is the only thing we are able to hear once the blades get going. The finish on the fan is good quality, and we like the low-profile flush mount version a lot as its higher up, especially if you have a low ceiling already, and the modern look with a nice bright LED was definitely the way to go! I would give this a good rating as so far this has been as advertised with no blemished or hiccups with installation. All parts are there and a help guide manual for install is a must! ... show more

This Fanbulous Ceiling Fan with Light - 52 Inch 6 Blade Ceiling Fan is an excellent fan. The best feature is that it converts 110v to DC which uses less energy and runs smoothly and quietly. It is an attractive fan, well made with solid materials, and offers great value for the money. The light is bright enough to illuminate my sun room and is dimmable…always nice to create cozy ambience in the evenings. It comes with a high quality remote - better than many of the cheapest of cheap remotes that have become so ubiquitous with so many purchases these days. Installation was straightforward with good instructions. It was securely packaged with nothing broken or missing. . It also comes with a smart app. I’m a tech Neanderthal and don’t generally use apps for appliances. However, I saw that feature received good reviews for those who are more tech savvy. What I like most: DC motor is noticeably quieter and more energy-efficient than traditional AC fans. 6-blade design moves a lot of air—great for larger rooms or open spaces. Even on higher speeds it stays surprisingly quiet, which makes it perfect for a bedroom or living room.
