  • Overall a great buy for some home callisthenic training. Lowest pull-up bar height has its drawbacks
Color: Black
I usually don't review things this soon after getting them, but in this case, my observations became apparent pretty fast. To be clear, I have the model with the back and arm rests for leg raises, and with the neutral grip bars that extend out to the pull up bar from an additional bar. So not the assisted dip model, which I'm seeing in this same review section and should be its own listing.. not cool.. but anyway I digress... Assembly was... entertaining i guess. The different bolts and tools are all blistered separately in a plastic enclosure that demands a sharp object to slice through the rather thick plastic compartments. I was cool with that, since it made it simple to keep each part separated until right when i need it. The instructions have their usual misspellings and wording issues that got missed during translation. I tried using exclusively the manual to assemble this, which took me about 3 hours and a lot of my own instincts. I really wish they could have labeled the sizes of the nuts and bolts directly on the casing, so I didn't have to keep flipping back and forth to the tool illustrations, often times I found myself just feeling it out for the right size bolts, luckily there aren't that many different sizes involved. I also somehow came out with exactly half of the curved washers left over, because according to the tiny tiny illustration on the bottom of the page, it looked like they only went under the head of the bolt, and not the nut on the opposite side, but who knows. Once it was all put together, I gotta say the materials are solid, no creaking or flexing whatsoever. Now when it comes to actually using this. I'm a fairly average 5'11 155lb build. The dip bars sit at a great width for me to really get that stretch reflex in the chest at the bottom of the dip, while still keeping my forearms vertical, so no complaints there. Pushup bars feel a tad high off the ground for my taste, but they're more of a convenient add-on I wasn't even sure I'd use. Pullups need their own stanza to describe, and it's where I had to dock a star. This experience may differ if you set it to a high enough height to straighten your legs on the pullup, but I am one of the many who have a 10' ceiling that forces me to use the shortest bar height while bending my knees. Unless your pullup is perfectly straight, your junk will come into contact with the backrest, And I can't face the other way or I will smack my head on the beam that runs behind the pullup bar. Plus if you aren't careful, you'll hit the bottom cross beam, but that's not an issue if it's any higher than the lowest setting. So really all of the problems involve those who need to bend their knees while doing pullups. If I could make one change to this product, I'd come up with a quick way to detach the backrest or push it further back for more room on the pullup. I might end up unbolting the whole pad bar altogether since hanging leg raises are more my jam anyway. ... show more

  • Well designed machine for assisted pull-ups and dips. Confusing assembly.
Color: Multi
You are paying extra for the assisted pull-ups and dips. It works well for what it is advertised to do. Assembly was a bit confusing with tiny instruction diagrams and you get confused which length bolts to use where. You may have to disassemble and reassemble when you realize you used the wrong bolt. It also feels you are missing hardware when assembling, but once you figure things out you will realize that you got the exact number of hardware needed with nothing extra left over. I did regret buying this later as there are better ways to progress in dips and pull-ups without requiring mechanical assistance. You are better off buying a weight lifting rack and a pair of rings for about the same price and attach them to the rack. Things are a lot harder on the rings, but you can progress by putting different amount of weight on you feet on the floor or do things at different angles. That is what I ended up doing and feel the rings are more effective tool and this assisted dip and pull up machine is collecting dust. But I give it 5 stars for what it is designed to do. It’s just that there are better alternative ways to progress in dips and pull-ups. ... show more

  • Good machine!
Color: Multi
Overall good machine though installation was a bit tricky. Definitely would’ve been helpful to have an extra hand and I didn’t notice the video until I was installing the last couple of pieces when i went to the site for help. It took me about 4 1/2 hours to put up after a trip to the hardware store for a racket wrench. I can’t figure out how to get the back support set up the way it shows in the picture but the assistant bench works for pull ups. I wish you went up to 120 pounds Assistance, I’m 180lbs and feel like I still need a little more assistance than 88 pounds for a beginner trying to do pull ups. ... show more

  • Built well
Color: Multi
Exactly what I wanted. It feels pretty sturdy. I'm 4"11 and I have no problems using it. The directions are horrible though. Some of screws and parts are mislabeled. I used a couple utube videos and pictures of it from online to figure it out. At first I thought I didn't have all the hardware but after looking up the photos and videos figured it out like a puzzle. After all of that I am extremely pleased with the product. ... show more

  • A really good equipment
Color: Multi
It was helpful reading other reviews knowing what to expect during the setup which made it easier for me. Putting it together was not as hard. The parts which already have screws installed are 1) arm rests 2) back/ seat 3) the push up bar area. Also, when you're reading the instructions, match the numbers in the manual to the numbers on the package. It took me about 2 hours to complete. I love it!!! It's build strong. I would recommend buying this product if you're interested in building your upper body strength and getting fit. ... show more

  • Solid Equipment
Color: Multi
I believe this product is sturdy (assembled myself in a few hours) and was not to difficult to assemble. There could be more clarity in the steps but it was a successful assembly. The product has not been fully used in a workout routine but it has been tested and it operates smoothly. Definitely a great addition to my gym. Update: Product works as expected and the tower is stable and moves smoothly when using the support pad. If you are looking for a good machine for your pull ups, dips, and push ups, this is a great purchase. ... show more

  • Perfect Home Gym Addition
Color: Multi
Easy to set up, quick shipping, and exactly what we were looking for to add to our home gym. This is almost identical to the machine I was using at the gym, same excellent quality as well.

  • Excellent product, wish they had a beefier version
Color: Multi
The product is very nice and functions exactly as desired. My only complaint is I wish there was a stronger more sturdier verson of the product. This one is great for the price but I would gladly pay more for a sturdier version.
