Top Amazon Reviews

  • One of the best gift from God
Color: Orange
I have knee problem preventing me from exercise. This summer I tried road biking and it works without knee pain. Then I worried about cold seasons. I did a thorough research both in Amazon and YouTube and decided to buy this one. It turned out to be so good that even my wife who doesn't care about biking fall in love with it:) You need to do descend research before buying an exercise bike because it is difficult to return for its weight and size. YouTubers don't seem to favor this one. I choose to trust Amazon review. It's rock solid and no touch pad. I used to be a mechanical engineer and would say no any maintenance for years to come. It's magnetic and ghost quiet. You can do exercise while watching TV, Apple TV, YouTube or listen to music. I figured that I can pedal it reversely to have zero impact on my knees. You pull the pedals from 2 o'clock to 10 o'clock or stretch it from 7 o'clock to 4 o'clock. Or auxiliary. The cal. burning rate is the same. You may need some practice to get used to it. The reverse motion actually minic knee rehab exercise while burning cals. I noticed they improve my knees over time. Some people have issues about the pedals fall off on the older model. I noticed this new model reinforced the pedals. Some people may put too high resistance and apply too much body weight on the pedals. Being a road biker, I can tell how much resistance to simulate real biking experience. For an average exercise biker, It's 100 cal., 3 miles, about 15(running) to 30 minutes(relaxing). That's about the right resistance. You'll see you don't have much weight on the pedals. In real road biking, if you put more weight than that, you'll getting faster and faster and tired soon or lost balance. If you really like more weight on the pedals, you are a mountain hiker. I think the 350 lbs means the structure can support a person with that weight, not on the pedals because belt drive mechanical system is for quiet and high speed, not for heavy weight. A 150 lb.-ft. torque is in the range of a car engine which uses gear drive. Youtubers complain that it has no fancy screen functions or online program. It serves my interest. I think those are for the people feel boring. If you can watch YouTube, Amazon Prime movie, Apple TV, etc. and listen to home theater music, why you need those bells and whistles. Some people complain about the screen is too dark. I agree. But products need trade off in design. If you want it brighter, you'll need to change battery frequently or hook up to electricity that is a no to me. For me to fix the problem, I bought a motion sensing light strip (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1QCR88N?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and put it on the ceiling of the basement above the bike. It works perfectly for me. Some small size people have issues about the handle bar too far away. I kind of agree. I am 5'7" and ride on a 27" road bike. It's farther away than a 27" road bike. I can raise the height of the handle bar so it isn't a problem for me. For shorter people, it may be too far away. Hope new version can fix it. The screw hole on the handle bar actually goes through. If you want to fix it yourself, you can drill an M8 hole on the base, move the handle bar about 2 inch closer. It took me one hour. See attached picture. Some have issues with the seat. I feel the seat is very comfortable compare to my road bike. But after about 30 minutes run, I felt numbness of my butt, which never happen in road biking. Then I switched the seat with my road bike. The result is the same. Numbness on the indoor cycling. No such thing on road biking. It proved that it is the nature of stationary bike - because you sit still, no bump, it hampers blood circulation. The way I deal with it is to get off every 30 minutes or so, or create artificial bumps. ... show more

  • Comparable to Stages SC3
Color: Orange
This bike is well-designed and well-manufactured, and an excellent value. [THE FOLLOWING WAS WRITTEN SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. YOSUDA DID PROMPTLY DIAGNOSE AND RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. ...other than the once-per pedal revolution "creak" noise generated by the crank on the down-stroke of the left pedal. I will try to contact Yosuda to understand how to gain access to the part that needs adjustment or lubrication.] I was impressed by the packing of the bike, the quality of the welds, and the solid materials. It was purchased 6 months ago as a home-substitute for the "Cycles SC3" that I use at a gym. The magnetic resistance system is well-implemented and becomes so hot after 30 minutes that I cannot hold my hand against the flywheel. I appreciate that the drive train, the most critical subsystem of the bike, comes pre-assembled, and only the feet, handlebars, and the LCD display need to be assembled. I regret not having a torque wrench to ensure that all the bolts were torqued correctly (observing that this isn't possible because Yosuda doesn't provide target torque levels for the screw/bolts). Some reviewers complain that the LCD screen is "faint". This complaint is due to a poor viewing angle. The standard position of the screen is "too vertical", making the screen optimally viewable by people who are very short, and very faint for people who are tall. A friend built a solution using a 3D printer that causes the screen to be much more horizontal and very easy to view. Even without this fix, the view angle is only a very minor inconvenience. Other small disappointments of which I hope Yosuda will take note are: 1. The seat stem is not close to long enough for a person with a 35" inseam. I've extended the stem beyond the "Stop" limit by 0.9 inches. The seat is still not high enough, but it's barely tolerable. I fault Yosuda for claiming the 35" maximum limit. 2. While the welds are generally excellent, the handlebars do not align with the frame of the bike, but are about 4-degrees to the right due to poor alignment of the weld between the chromed handlebar tube and chromed handlebar plate. MANY MONTHS AGO I WROTE: "My biggest complaint is the loud creak generated by the crank mechanism on the left pedal's downstroke. I hope that Yosuda can tell me how to lubricate the crank or other resolve this annoyance." After having waited several months to contact Yosuda, they ("Celine") responded promptly and requested a video of the problem. I waited a month to spend the 5 minutes needed to generate the video. They promptly responded with a diagnosis of a "bad crank bearing" of which there are two and sent replacement bearings which arrived a few days later. They also provided a video to demonstrate how to replace the bearings. I CONSIDER THIS EXCEPTIONAL AFTER-SALES SUPPORT--ALMOST QUALIFYING FOR A HIGHER-RATING THAN IF THE BIKE HADN'T HAD A BAD BEARING UPON DELIVERY. In summary, Yosuda agreed that the bike shouldn't creak, acknowledged that my individual bike did creak, and promptly sent me a solution to the problem. If the solution doesn't work, I'll report here, but based on the superlative service so far, I have raised my 3-stars to 5-stars. I look forward to buying other products from Yosuda (which certainly sounds like a Japanese name). Too bad other companies can't figure out how to provide comparable after-sales support. Kudos to Yosuda! ... show more

  • Good quality with a few flaws
Color: Orange
I've had it for about 16 months now and its working out pretty well. I ride it 2-3 times a week to supplement my outdoor riding when the weather is bad or I can't get to the gym. It provides a challenging and smooth resistance range that allows me to do all types of spin class techniques including jumps, freezes, seated climbs, sprints etc. It's easy to find free spin classes on YouTube, so there is always plenty of variety out there. I have only a few comments. 1. The display is very dim, so it can be hard to see the data. Its good for RPM and time, the rest of the information isn't really useful, but RPM is the most important thing. 2. The resistance knob takes a lot of spinning to go from 1-10. I basically crank it till I can't pedal, back off a turn and the count down one turn per resistance level. So in a class that goes from say 5-10-5 a lot, its a lot of turning. 3. The seat post squeaks, sort of annoying, so I lube it with silicon. 4. Anyone over 6'1" may not be able to use it. I'm 6 ft with really long legs and I have the seat maxed out. Anyone taller than me may have a problem. Ok, that's the skinny on it. For the money, when combined with free classes, you can't beat it. I ride a peloton in Hilton gyms when I travel for work and they are better, but not by much, and if you only ride a few days a week, this is a good deal. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality Exercise Bike!
Color: Orange
Wow! This is a solid exercise bike! I had my doubts, but I'm so impressed with this bike. We've used it a lot for about 6 months, and it works like a dream! It super sturdy and solid, it doesn't wobble around AT ALL! The tension adjuster is solid and the whole bike feels great. It's comfortable and easy to use. We're very happy with this purchase. ... show more
