I liked the whole package. We needed a shield to block the sun in the late afternoon on our outdoor dining area on a 2nd floor deck. I mounted the screen on top of the guard rail, attaching it to a post supporting the house overhand, and the holding post on top of the railing. I had to buy shorter mounting lad bolts to keep the screw tips from coming out the bottom the other railing support. It works perfect for blocking the PM sun and prevents high heat. It is pretty strong spring to open for my wife and I as we are a little short to attach the top latch but we do it together rather easily, and we are in our 80th year in life. Thanks for the perfect shade. We ordered the beige and it matches our siding perfectly.

The first order took 1 week to arrive after ordering and it was missing key installation parts. After having to return the entire item because of this, we received the second shipment another week after that. This time the frame of the screen was damaged. And, this time it came with anchor bolts that cannot be used if you want to install it into something other than masonry. So, we had to use our own screws. Overall, we are not happy with this product to say the least. After installing it, which was easy, it was evident it is not sturdy. You can find something of a higher quality.

My beach house deck is not far from the back yard beside me, and my 2-year-old dog loves to put his head between the rails to bark at the neighbors — even 2 doors down. This screen allows privacy on my deck while preventing my pup from yapping from the deck and my neighbors from “yapping” in their own yard. It was easy to install and is easy to open and close.

The media could not be loaded. We have the most terrible neighbors that are constantly peeping out at us so we just wanted a little privacy. This screen is perfect!!! It didn’t quite go all the way to the end of our deck so my husband installed it with an extra TV mount we had and we plan to get a plant for that corner to hide the TV mount. The first two photos (one with the shade extended and the other with it retracted) show how well you can/cannot see through the screen.
