Very good item, I bought it to keep the rain off me when I have to unlock my front door and so I can feed the stray cats when it rains. I was able to put it up by myself. I like this one because I saw another one where you had to build the handle but this one has that part already built. I built most of it inside and it seems a lot bigger until you put it up but it's a good size. The reason I got one with legs was so that I could put it up by myself,. I did have to prop both poles against something and then I did use something to secure it to the wall at a few points but it's well made and sturdy. The way my porch roof is I could only prop the top against one side but I still made it work. When I open the screen door it does touch the top but only when fully opened.

We live without air conditioning and need a way to block the sunshine without blocking the breeze. With dense cement boards on this manufactured home, I have no desire to drill and fuss with permanent hardware. That's why we bought this for under $70. We got the 78x118 size and maxed it out. It is a 2-person job but I'm stubborn and figure out a way to do it by myself. Assembly is incredibly easy and intuitive. The instructional diagram is finally written with clarity and intelligence. (refreshing these days) Anyways, it worked exactly the way I needed it too. Can't say I'm too sold on its ability to handle much wind...especially if the poles are maxed out to their tippy-toes. A few weeks later, I ended up moving the awning to the backside of the storage/garage where the sun hammers the southeast side. This enables me to block the sunshine while keeping a box fan in the window to blow out hot air. The angle of the roof overhang was far too steep for this unit to secure. I ended up rigging some metal shims to fill the gap and the after install, throwing on some cable clamps to secure it to the wall (for my extra peace of mind). All in all, I think the price is right for the functionality and moveability and I'm glad I bought it. I've purchased a few outdoor items from Yaheetech over the past 3 years and have to admit, they are all right.

I absolutely love my Yaheetech Manual Retractable Awning! It was exactly what I needed to add shade to my front door without having to drill into the wall. The setup was easier than I expected, and the fact that it doesn’t require any drilling was a huge plus. It feels sturdy, the angle and height adjustments work smoothly, and it really helps block out the sun on hot afternoons. The beige color looks clean and blends well with my front door decor. I also appreciate the UV protection—it keeps the area cooler and helps protect my outdoor furniture too. This awning has made sitting outside much more comfortable. If you're looking for a simple, stylish, and no-drill solution for shade, I highly recommend this one!

Can't even figure out how to put it together. The instructions seem to include parts that I don't have. I tried figuring it out on my own, but it seems like there are only enough poles for one side, then a lot of extraneous poles I don't know what to do with.

Excellent product. Takes two people to install, but worth it. Has reduced AC bill, even! At least by 50 bucks, if not more, every month! Looks good and holds up 5 months and counting.
