One design flaw is that the base is too small and if you lean forward the stool will tilt a bit. We have other stools with similarly styled bases and those have a base with a larger diameter. I like these chairs a lot. They were pretty easy to put together out of the box and fit very well with my color scheme. Good quality and pretty comfortable to sit in. The height is adjustable so it'll work for a counter-height or a bar-height table.
