WOW!!!!!!! Went to the local furniture store to look at barstools for our new house, so we could sit at our bar countertops. The furniture store had beautiful, white cushioned barstools with a gorgeous, shiny metal base. The hydraulics worked well, and the material on the cushions was soo soft and SOOO comfy, but they were $140 EACH! The salesman said in addition, they were $40 each for delivery and $125 each for set-up and were not available for 2.5 weeks, or more!!!!! Yikes!!!!! While my husband and the furniture salesman chatted, I went out of sight and pulled up Amazon on my phone to check out white barstools..... LO and BEHOLD....Found the same (?) white barstools for $69 for BOTH (not each!) and free delivery in a few days!!! We left the furniture store and excitedly purchased the barstools from Amazon, and here, 2 days later, our new barstools arrived! :-) They were each packed with care in a heavy, sturdy box, each piece wrapped separately! We put them together, took 3 minutes and slid them up to the counter (bar). We sat in them and were amazed how comfortable and soft the cushions were and a very sturdy base! The hydraulics worked extremely well, chairs were heavy, sturdy and the cushion material was so soft! WOOLAH!!!!! Amazon shines again! Don't think twice if you like these barstools! They are even more beautiful in person and AFFORDABLE!!!!! :-) ... show more

These stools are a great price for a quality item. I'm not particularly mechanical but was able to put them together myself. My roommate is 245 pounds and his chair lasted 3 years with hours of daily use before the up/down function gave out; not bad for a 40 dollar chair! He bought the same stools again. They're light enough to move around the house. I recommend this item. ... show more

When we first ordered them (we ordered 4) 2 were damaged. They wouldn't fit back in the box to get shipped back and we had a hard time trying to get an extra shipping label to send them back. But eventually after numerous emails back and forth with the seller, they shipped us out the replacements and we love them! One of the black handles is a little loose on one but they are surprisingly sturdy and look great! Definitely a good buy! When you assemble them, the red caps can be hard to get off of the upright poles, slip a straightened out paperclip under the cap to loosen it. The seller sent us a video of how to do that after they sent the replacements...would be useful if they put the in the instructions, but other than that they are pretty easy to assemble. I would have given 5 stars if we hadn't had so much trouble with the exchange. Product is great! We've had them about 3 months. ... show more

Here are some main points if you don't want to read :) - High quality, refined/modern/expensive look, easy to clean, comfy, tall, affordable & well made! I don't usually leave reviews, but I really feel like these chairs deserve it. I have been looking for affordable bar stools for a long time (and have had a few failed attempts) and these exceeded my expectations! I have an abnormally high breakfast bar, and I was always worried that my stools would be too short, but these are super tall and adjustable! The highest setting is perfect for sitting and eating at the bar and then I can lower them to have additional seating for guests if needed, 2 in 1! They were so easy to set up that I took more time pondering whether I was doing it correctly because there was so little to do than the time spent actually building it. I would say it took about 5-10 minutes to assemble from opening the box to taking out the trash. They are super comfy and can withstand me sitting on the computer for a few hours comfortably. The bottom stand isn't made out of metal, but rather some kind of thick plastic material which made me worry about the sturdiness, but they are very stable, especially when you are sitting on them. They are lighter than expected, but it doesn't bother me. I was also worried about the white color looking cheap or getting dirty easily. I was pleasantly surprised because they look and feel expensive and they are super easy to clean! I would definitely recommend these to a friend and will be purchasing another set when I have the need for them! ... show more

These were easy to assemble but the screws just fall out all the time. Like what the heck?! Edited after 3 months of having these stools. The screws fall out CONSTANTLY. from just sitting on them every once in a while. I ended up unscrewing them and filling the hole with hot glue then screwing them back in. I definitely recommend doing that! They are pretty cheaply made. I bought them for my 13 and 14 year olds. And you can see the hole top of the stool bend every time they get on or off. They aren't big kids. Normal sized. I, however, am 190lbs and i don't sit on them because I'm scared I'm going to break it. Smh. All in all, if I had to do it over again I'd probably spend extra money to get better quality ones but since I have them I can make it work. They are cute. I get compliments on them often! They just make me so mad lol ... show more
