    • Two inches taller 26" bar stool would be better for my countertop.

The first observation after putting together the chair parts and sitting on the bar stool is that the 24" height is too low for the countertop; 26" is likely more comfortable. There are picture directions to interpret, so prior experience helps understand the procedure in putting together multiple pieces. The assembly was quick in some stages, but I initially made a mistake in the orderly process, as well as making several attempts to fit some screws in the middle and last parts of the construction. A positive aspect is that each piece is labeled with a letter, and a number identifies every type of hardware. Given the limited number of pieces with about three steps, the assembly process would be straightforward. I'm waiting to find out whether the hardware loosens with normal usage because, right off the bat, a 230-pound person makes the bar stool wiggle. As for comfort, that too will take time to assess. The item is reasonably priced, especially when compared to the cost of some counter/bar stools. ... show more

These are great seats. Comfortable and hold up well. Unfortunately we tried to buy two more to discover they were out of stock. They had multiple sets on "Amazon Resale" which is apparently the formed used sales for Amazon Warehouse. The first set was "used - like new" and items were perfect, just damage to the packaging. They were only a few bucks cheaper than the new set but whatever. Well, turns out that the person that verified they were "like new" upon return didn't note that the seats that should have been gray were actually blue. So we returned those and tried a different set with the same description. This time they were indeed gray but one of the "like new" seats was cracked and chipped. So if you're thinking of buying from Amazon Resale, don't bother. ... show more

I think I looked at every single saddle-style counter stool on the internet, before deciding on these. I'm very satisfied with them! They are easy to put together (we got 3 sets for a total of 6 stools, so it did take a good hour, but that's a lot of seats!). They are well padded for comfort, but most importantly since I have 4 kids and a messy husband, they're WIPEABLE. The seats are a durable faux leather. Maple syrup? Wipes right up. Tomato sauce? No problem! We chose the white base/gray seat model, and it coordinates perfectly with our kitchen (gray floors, white cabinets, white marble counters) but be advised it's a very bright white. I thought my cabinets were pretty white, but this is even brighter. It may look awkward in a room that's more off white, ivory, or cream tones. ... show more
