The bar chairs are exactly as pictured, no surprises in color or quality. I'm writing my first ever Amazon review because the customer service was EXCELLENT! Originally, we had ordered a bar chair from them that had a curved back. They wrote us immediately with detailed dimensions of and brought to our attention that it may not be able to "tuck in" under the bar. They were right and saved us a lot of hassle because that would not have worked for us. Thankfully, I asked if they had any other stools and they linked us to this item. Though it's not the curve we wanted, it has great back support, is comfortable and serves it's purpose. They look elegant. Don't be deterred by all the parts when you get it.
