It's a little pricey so I took a chance like most people & I was very pleasantly surprised how much I liked it that I'm thinking of getting a 2nd one. Definitely take advantage of he mic "Google voice assistant" on the remote. Believe it or not, it's one of the best feature on a android tv box. You can be watching something else & ask about the weather or ask what's your favorite team's score it pops up fast automatically on the screen in detail. Instead of looking it up on your phone. Good picture, decent display, easy customizing & adding apps with the 28gb is a breeze. Even though it's not top of the line android box. It does a good job streaming unknown apps.. If you don't like something you can change certain things & certain settings around . Ok.. What I don't like is the short wire adapter plug. That's ok, I got a extention cord etc... No batteries for the remote, buy some ahead of time .. I definitely don't like the remote like for the most reasons people here complained about. That's ok.. I got a cheap white onn remote that I paired up to the box (hold home & back arrow at the same time. ). Changing the remote was the best thing for me. It's now more enjoyable way navigating around while talking Advantage of a android box steaming function. I definitely recommend it ... show more

Works great easy to set up. It’s easy to sideload apps if that’s what you’re into and runs the apps like hbo max and prime video flawlessly I’m very happy with this and the price was right! Now that being said the remote works well feels good but dang is it clicky.

I bought this to replace a terrible purchase of a Fire TV ( Amazon decided that my hardware was too old so is green-screened (bricked) my 2 year old Fire TV! ) This is a much better choice than a Firestick or Fire TV because Amazon cannot prevent anything from streaming to it (other than it's own expen$ive - overpriced streaming services) Some say this box is overpriced, and others say the remote sucks, but I am relieved of my green screen amazon TV, so I'm quite happy with this box. You can always get a free computer and throw Android TV on it, but then you might need to upgrade the video card and there's the remote thing you'd have to deal with.. So all in all, the Xiaomi Box runs Google TV which is almost as good as Android TV... and it works well with my 10 year old non-smart 4k TV that I replaced 2 years ago with a Fire TV... (This box is a much better deal than the firestick / TV. Amazon cannot touch it! There are lawsuits pending with Amazons Fire TV's...) ... show more

great streaming box, loads of room for apps, no blocking like fire tv devices. setting up a custom launcher is a breeze, so no more ads trying to sell you stuff. The remote is great as well. Don't know what it would be like for gaming, but for streaming this is hard to beat at the price, would definitely recommend. ... show more

    • Won't Stay Connected to the Internet
I really wanted to like this Android box. After installing, the remote would not work with my TV. My firestick remote paired up just fine, so I figured this one would too. So, I decided I'd just be stuck using 2 remotes since the Xiomi remote would power on/off the TV or adjust the volume. Well, onto the deal breaker. The box would not stay connected to my internet. I even tried using my phone as a hot spot thinking maybe it's my internet connection. I have 1Gbit fiber from AT&T, it should work. Well then I tried installing the update. I couldn't because the box wouldn't stay connected to the Internet long enough to finish the download. Box is 100% useless. Upon googling issues with this unit, apparently losing the Internet connect is very common. I would've thought the seller would accommodate my request for a repair or replacement return. I am not a huge TV watcher, so I didn't get to returning it before the return window. I contacted Amazon and they referred me to the seller who was ABSOLUTELY no help. So, I'm going to throw this POS in the garbage and go back to my Firestick. FIND A DIFFERENT BOX AND A DIFFERENT SELLER. ... show more

I am Enjoying this product, while it may not be the top of the choices. It co.es with many of the top features. Works great and is a great alternative to firestick. Storage capacity, value for mo ey, would like a more features on remote control buttons.
